My daughter teases me all the time about my need to search “everywhere” and I mean “everywhere” for treasures. I’ll hit dumpsters , streets on their garbage day; you just never know where that beauty might be.

Back in the late 1960s, my mother collected several military uniforms, helmets, etc. from Vietnam vets who returned home. These things were being tossed in the garbage. Well, she put all of this unwanted stuff in our big shed with a lot of moth balls and forgot about them. Many decades later, I pulled this stuff out along with several hundred 50s & 60s TOPPS baseball cards & listed each item on an auction site. I was shocked how much each item fetched. Cha-Ching! 👍

I have done this for a small chip.... a permanent marker in the color of the glaze, water it a bit to make it spread, apply several coats if need be to get it the color then clear nail polish. Seems to hold up pretty well.

I got cold coffee at McDonald’s once (I ordered a hot latte) and the girl said “it’s in a hot cup” so I asked for a manager who also told me it was in a hot cup (instead of the plastic ones). I looked at her dumbfounded and said well it might be a hot cup but the coffee is cold. OMG what idiots. Do not deprive me of my hot coffee!

I worked at a salvation army in Colorado Springs and couldn't believe how much stuff they threw away. If people had any idea they would stop donating. I can't wait until it warms up here so I can go metal detecting around the Spanish Peaks area! Love your videos.

I am couple years off being senior. LOL , I have to take my hubby to get senior discounts at Goodwill and other thrift stores. Luckily, he does loves finding great buys himself! Since we have similar taste in things after over 28 years of marriage , I can definitely trust hubby to get something that we would both love!

My husband and I are photographers, so we like to thrift for camera deals. It's always funny to see a bunch of busted ass cameras and lenses that they think are worth money just because of the brand. If it doesn't actually work, or there's a giant dent in the lens...its worthless. That being said, I've found a couple Polaroid cameras for $10 and sold them for 10x that after testing. Pro tip: bring some different size batteries with you to test electronics!

Give that woman coffee before she takes someones head off. I know what she means though, I'm a coffee drinker and fast coffee places will try to short you. I'll never go into another Star Bucks again for that reason, I had never been, I'm rural we get the Star Bucks in a can or glass bottle cold, or the make your own coffee beans, but finally got to go to one, I think I paid maybe $8-10 dollars and got basically a thimble full of coffee full of ice, so it wasn't worth it, didn't taste any better than any other coffee, Dunkin Doughnuts tasted better and you can almost get two or can get two for that price and decent size. I live in the country where we make real coffee served along side, bacon, sausage, eggs, toast, pancakes, waffles with local syrup, all fresh, all real, as well as a few coffee shops. Sorry just passionate about my coffee.

Oh my goodness....my mom has that exact chair with brass/wood wheels....she got it at a garage sale then had it reupholstered. When she found it, and she kept the style the same, it had about 10 tucked buttons...hamper...got mine as a new house gift from my brother back in 1987. Haha. I love lattes. I just love them with a responsible amount of foam and no one seems to be able to foam responsibly. When I managed a coffee shop, I would teach new baristas the correct foam to milk ratio. I think I might have to speak with Dunkin management about responsible foaming.

You should find a cool fish tank bowl and have a hole drilled in the bottom put in lamp tube and use the brass nuts to hold it in place here comes the cool part put in some clear epoxy add a bunch of old beads and buttons more epoxy more beads and buttons do that untill it is full then add lamp wiring make a crazy lamp lady label felt and tag on bottom i think you could get 50 60 bucks
