Obelisk is my favorite god card. I never got to open any of those packs as a kid so all the cards I have from my childhood came from friends or kids at school that gave me for free lol. throughout the years ive been buying loose cards off amazon but im Def buying atleast 1 of that box

Yes those are reprints. You can also tell you have a original by where the 1st edition is and if it says magic or spell and the boarder of the card is lighter in older packs hope this helps

I bought a set of the God cards back in 2003 at a gaming shop. They are the nonplayable ones but I still have them.... And they're still in the cards sleeves I bought in them.

They are reprints. When LOB, MRD and MRL were first released, Spell cards were called Magic Cards. They were changed later for obvious reasons.

No difference, these are just part of the unlimited print run. 1st print run would of course say 1st edition. A reprint would would have a different set abbreviation and card number.

I like Slifer the Sky Dragon because there is a limit to his power which is a total of six cards which gives him 6000 damage but I don't understand why they have the x's on the damage and defense because the X stands for 5,000 so I don't understand why

I'm sure you've had an answer already though usually the only ways to tell the difference (besides 1st edition) are a slight change on newer cards to improve quality as well as some of the wording on cards (for example remove from play is now phrased as banish) otherwise it's kinda hard to tell as yugioh reprint cards often usually when certain archetypes make a comeback or in this case as a nostalgia collection

They did reprint this the of was 2012, gameboard was 2014 now they're back as off like 6 months ago i believe the only difference now is the gameboard is different. There is also no way to tell the cards are from the O.G packs or the legendary collection packs

There actually are plenty of differences that you can use to tell these reprints from originals. In the originals, the ultra rare lettering is a vibrant yellow-gold, whereas in the reprints, the ultra rare lettering has a much darker, orange-gold hue. The texture of these reprints is also quite different. If you compare a reprint to an original, the originals has a grainier texture, whereas the reprints are smoother. The reprints tend to have darker colors overall, especially for the effect monsters. And the text boxes contrast more in terms of color from the rest of the card than do the text boxes of the originals. The backs of the cards are notably lighter on the reprints that they are on the originals. And even the bordering of the fronts is slightly different in terms of color, with more of a blue-ish grey hue to it, whereas the originals typically have a darker grey tone on the borders. But due to printing inconsistencies in the early sets, some originals are dark and more saturated, and on those, the borders sometimes look kind've dark blue. This is all most difficult to tell on non-ultra-rare normal monsters, since those reprints do look remarkably similar to the originals. But the texture of the cards and the color tone of the back will give it away every time. And also...the most obvious one of them all...any card that has an errata'ed text will be noticeable. And almost all card except normal monsters have erratas to their text.

Great opening my man I really like the video I never pulled any secret rares or any type of holos in the box of legendary collection that I was gifted but there is one way actually no there's two ways to tell when they're reprints the main hint is the odor since they don't smell like the old school packs they have that reprint smell where they smell like cheap cardboard and on the eye of Anubis on the bottom right corner if you look in the sun or in the light you're able to see little stars in them and that's how you're able to tell whether they're reprint packages or not which I'm pretty sure you know by now since this video is about two years old lolI just still found it fascinating to see somebody get anything out of the legendary collection booster packs specially the one coming straight off the legendary collection box itself just cuz I've never had any luck 😅😣🤣

Those are reprints. They were not spell cards back then. They were magic. Since it says spell it's got to be a reprint. I know you were asking in your video plus I noticed a card that was colored slightly different than the original because I have the original print. I don't remember the name of the card but it's a fusion dinosaur with a gun on his left arm. The gun is colored differently from the original.

But yes the reprints smell a lot different they come with those little stars on the eye of Anubis and I believe the lob ones at the time still said magic card instead of spell card but like I said the first two are the giveaways the odor which smells terrible and I like the old school odor and the eye of Anubis on the bottom right corner has those little stars if you look at them right in the light you'll be able to see them and you're able to tell they are repaints once again what a great box wow!!!!
