I found the Vogue Sewing Book at the thrift store for $1.58 in the book jack brand new and inside had a postcard to order your friend a copy. I have the McCalls and Simplicity Sewing Books along with a collection of Singer Sewing Books which helps me understand certain instructions and I love the illustrations as well. I have been sewing for 5 months which I am loving the vintage sewing patterns; Simplicity is my favorite. I am sewing Vintage garments of the 1940's, early & late 1950's, early 1960's and 1980's slacks pattern which took after the 1940's slacks. great video

Young lady you have found yourself a fine collection and I'm very impressed with you keen and eager approach to learning to sew. You have all the beginnings to become a very diverse seamstress in the making! I hope you have much joy collecting as well as making your own clothes.
