Hey Scoutcrafter. I wish I had dreams like that. Last dream I had I was eating a giant marshmallow. I woke up with a stomach ache and my pillow was missing. 😆 That air tool is awesome and turned out sweet! Take care 👍🏼👍🏼

Call me an old fashioned mechanic but I have dozens of pneumatic tools and love using them! My high school shop class that was all we used and they were never cared for so every year they would throw out the ones that stopped working and buy new ones. Well, me being a kid with no money, I’d take them home clean and rebuild them for myself. Most of them I still use and cherish to this day!
@ScoutCrafter9 ай бұрын
It’s all about the compressor. Where I worked there was a huge compressor in its own room! There were air lines every twenty feet through out the building. You never heard the compressor and there was unlimited air!!! 😃👍

Last year I sold my parents house after mom passed. The woman that bought it took everything in the house. Pots, pans, cutlery, beds, everything. That was a great relief for me not having to clear out the home. Washer and dryer, fridge, living room furniture was all included. It benefited her too because most of her possessions were mismatched so she hauled them off to Goodwill.

What a great dream! You know what they say, 'life is what happens when you are busy making plans'. At my advanced age I try to enjoy every day! I used to use air tools often when working on motorcycles and cars, not so much today. Really nice impact wrench. I like the exhaust hose, nothing like getting a face full of air tool oil. 😀Regards, Bill.

I found that the more comments there are the better the algorithm rates the video. I decided comment more than one by splitting up my usual comments. I love air tools. I have a big compressor and all my Dad's air tools along with some I bought. I have two 1/2" Chicago Pneumatic impacts, a 3/8" impact and a 3/8 right ratcheting nut runner that is real handy in tight spots. A DA sander, couple disc sanders, inline body panel sander, die grinders, pencil grinder, air drill, and of course paint gun and air brushes. I also have a big tank air sand blaster and a cabinet sand blaster. They are moving to the big shop where they will live in the lean--to.

Another great video in the can, ScoutCrafter! Enjoyed the cleanup on the Sioux impact tool. There’s just something about those vintage tool cases that says quality compared to the cheap nylon bags or cardboard boxes you get today. 😅 I don’t do any heavy duty work to necessitate air tools so I get by with a Dewalt electric impact driver. Want to wish you the best of luck in finding your perfect turn-key retirement property. 👍🏻 PS. I was commissioned in 1986 to build a 100 yard boardwalk with a bird watching deck (25'x25') with a camouflage rail at 8' tall to drape a fabric. The boardwalk then ran 50 yards more, all winding through heavily treed woods, to a triple tier deck with 12 telephone poles, stairs and rails... 3' of water, during freezing winter months. All decked with 2x6 using 20 penny, ring shanked nails! No pneumatic nail gun could shoot those. So I used a 3# sledge hammer to drive the 1st two for holding/ spacing then used a "Dan Air Nailer" pneumatic palm nailer to drive the rest... The vibration after nailing for hours killed my hands/ knuckles and elbows - all the joints - from sun up, to sun down for 6 months. All of this was me and a helper. When completed, it was glorious! It lasted for ONE YEAR before vandals burned it down to the water line! The rest of the boardwalk was ripped apart by whoever wanted the lumber... So, when someone says, "this job will build character", I just laugh! You don't know what that even means. ALL TO SAY - Check out that pneumatic palm nailer, it is a cool tool.

I use to use a black and decker air drill and my Mac butterfly impact. I wish it was set up like yours with the exhaust. I did interiors in the big trucks. I know I drilled and screwed over 20,000 #8 x 3/4 screws. I did an interior in a 1956 Kenworth and used my sears battery powered drill and impact. I have to say the battery power was easier to use and I never broke a screw. I still use my air tools from time to time. The air powered hack saw is special to me. Last year I bought a 12V impact wrench to carry in my 4WD. It got me thinking a bit about the torque it put out. So I tested. I rotated my wheels, I did some with my Pneumatic rattle gun, some with the new 12V car tool, some by hand with my old Wheel brace (what you would call a Lug wrench), and, some with my 18V Makita cordless, and then I broke out the torque wrench and checked myself. I was in spec on all of them. i think I varied by around 5 ft lbs. Although if I am not strapped for time, I like to do up nuts with a power tool and stop short to do the last bit by hand.

Beautiful restoration, the shop I worked at used die grinders ( CP ) they where cheap. When you have 12 guys and each one has 10 or 15 grinders setup for different tasks like cutoff wheels, carbide burs, flap wheels, stones and several other things so you don't spend time changing over all the time. It wouldn't make sense to spend $300+ on a air tool when a $30 tool worked just as good. I still have all of mine probably 30+ and most are 20 to 40 years old. That said Sioux made high quality tools. But both required oil to keep them working. Great show as always. Best of luck on moving out of NY come to TN. We have great weather and very low taxes

It doesn't have todays recovery speed but it works well for my air tools as well as painting. One thing that really cuts down on noise is the cast iron compressor. Yeah it's not silent but it doesn't have that obnoxious drone that others have. I am building a 30 gallon horizontal compressor that will be powered by a gas motor. At the outset I thought just hook a gas motor to the compressor but you need some extra controls one that idles down the motor when the compressor is not needed. We all have that dream property. Hope you find yours.
