Nice work man! I think a lot of the fun comes from restoring these things. So far I have restored a Dagobah playset and a heavily detailed clean of a Snowspeeder. Bringing them back to life after seeing them in rough shape has been very rewarding. I say put aside what you payed for it and do your best to make it look new again. Plus those figures is what you said you payed the main price for.

That's a really nice playset for display, it's got great box artwork and picture of the backdrop. It's not as fun to play with as the Hoth Ice Planet Adventure Set, it's got more fun features 😂🙌 You got a nice fair box and over all set. The figures are the easiest thing to find separately. Having the white box is great!👌 Enjoy brother! ✊😎👊

Magic eraser works great! Warm soapy water. Magic eraser. Repeat warm soapy water. And rince.

Awesome pickup. Look into retro brighting for the base. Uses peroxide and lighting. Several KZbin restorers use this method on gaming consoles and such (Odd Tinkering) is one of those with resources you could look into. Best of luck!

I just have this playset loose, got it a few years back. Not a playset I had as a kid, but it was a set I had always wanted it after seeing it as a set piece in Freaks and Geeks. Probably not the most exciting set, but I like the background. Hopefully you are able to gets yours all cleaned up. Oddly enough, I don't collect paperwork with my toys, but I do have the instructions for this one.

Nice pick up Joey. The base can be cleaned up for sure and outside of the box coming undone on that one section its really not that bad. I'd give you a B as the figures always seem to be the missing piece especially with the original box.

I guess what it comes down to is how much you paid. For me, that box is decent. Holds the rectangle shape and you have the box for the figures. The base you can pick up fairly cheap. The supports a a little warn, but the backdrop looks solid. You have one and as you continue collecting you can always upgrade it and sell this one off if it bothers you.

Did you mess up? Well, I wouldn't go that far to say that, but having watched your video, you did seem to be a bit disappointed with your purchase. Itchy eBay fingers! We've all been there for sure. And like you said, getting that little figure box was pretty critical. And having watched your other video, I know this one cleaned up pretty well despite how it looked coming out of the box. Still, maybe this is one that you can upgrade later on, so keep on the lookout and hopefully you'll come across one that's a little bit closer perfect (and has those figures sealed in their baggies). 🤑 I'm still looking for this exact set as well, it's hard to find one that's complete with all the figures and in great shape, for a reasonable price. As I'm sure you're well aware. Would love to know how you feel about the set now that you've had time to ruminate on it, after you got it all cleaned up and into shape. Still feeling disappointed? Or not as much now? Either way, you're one playset closer to completing your run. And I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the last sets on your list. 😉👍

I think you are too hard on yourself. Just but it down as a starting point. A space filler until you get something better. Then you can sell what you don’t need to another person who is also collecting the play sets. Great find Joey. Keep collecting and be positive about it.

Don't know why but I watched the second video first. I think you're being too hard on yourself, the set cleaned up well. At worst you've got an OK set. I don't know how much you paid for it but I could see some dissatisfaction on your face. On the other hand, you did get a nice complete playset and I think you will enjoy spending some time cleaning and restoring it. That's also a part of the journey. Can wait for the episode with the instructions on how to put it together and also all the history behind it.
