I am really sorry you had to start over. I hoped I could prolong this for another while because the 1.0.0 final update should contain a couple of new better villages replacing the old ones.

I'm good with starting over. So far, I have found a couple of villages in a test world and NO issues with the mayors table or beds. I am looking forward to the updates and well prepared to start anew if necessary. Thanks for your continued attention.

Maybe contact the Vintage Story team and see if they might know how to restore the broken chunks? I’m sure they would also want to be aware of an issue like this so that they can bug fix it, assuming it is a vanilla bug and not due to a mod.

As far as I know, someone is aware of the issue. My solution, I just started over.
