I’ve recently found paint stripping discs on a 4” grinder are great for fetching off thick paint, leaves a nice smooth finish as well. 🙂👍

That's some shine you got there. Is that 2 pack mixed paint? Do you find it easier to put on than single pack paint which can run easily?

@@keithk1246 I do use two pack yes. The problem I find with single pack is the quality is not there. I have found the two pack keep looking fresh for longer. The only problem is that it looks more plastic than single pack. That’s the down side.

What is the brand and shade of red you used? I understand they changed colours around the time of your tractor. I have a 1965 MF135 and would like to paint some parts, but as close to original as possible. Great painting tips by the way, thanks.

@@classicrider5274 the red is mixed from a sample from the tractor. I like a darker shade. I have heard a few conflicting story’s on what year exactly the paint colour was changed.

@@bobcrawford2105 just standard tyres. I have put it on 7.50 to try and help. The high clearance with 38” rears had longer stubs. I think they were trying to complete with the Major

@Mr_b_yorkshire_farmer no they don't. Mark 1 have dry brake's. Unless they have been massed about with. Mark 2 are wet generally. There's also industrial witch can verrie. A friend of mine does plowing comps. He has a fleet of 65 s he will tell you anything you want to know about Massey Ferguson tractor's.

@Mr_b_yorkshire_farmer Hello Mr B. My friend with the Massey Ferguson plowing tractor is a half breed it has a 165 back end and gear box. The only true parts are the engine and tin work. So you are right about the dry brakes. He has other half breed tractors for forestry work. So I'm sorry about doubting your word.
