Great them Steve. At a time when joining a bank made you feel grown up and they valued your custom. Sadly no longer that way. An app and some miserable staff, in a rare high street branch.

They have changed a lot, although for me the bank account is essential in handling my household finances. Can't remember the last time I handled cash, though.

UK banking still seems weird. I have a checking account that gets my paychck, a savings account where I put money for an emergency, credit cards to buy things, and an investment account to pretend I'm saving for retirement. What am I missing?

With all of those Leeds adverts I knew we'd have to see at least one Arthur Daley one - George Cole and the Leeds is one of the strongest brand and advert pairings ever for me. Laughing all the way to the Leeds. Is it just me, though, or is the _Barclays Business Centres_ ad just before it incredibly dodgy-sounding? That talk about getting the money out of Italy sounds very nefarious.
