Run the Bounty and Flake adverts on prime time TV in 2022, and there would be a lynching!! However, I for one - would like to see more of those!

A “Marathon bar” today or “Snickers” is not only smaller; they also have an inferior flavour. Which is not as good as the original.

I have never seen a "Jive Talker" in a commercial before. That's really funny that they put translations in for him. These ads like this just make me wish even more that it wasn't so expensive to get foods delivered from around the world. :)

Hubba Bubba - The old man who says, "He's a-comin!" is Dub Taylor, an American character actor, who worked mostly in Westerns, starting in the 1940s. In the 1980s, he was a regular on "Hee Haw".

It’s fun to suddenly think about exactly what’s being said in an advert, and realise just how stupid it is (when normally you’re only vaguely paying attention, because it’s an advert). “Wrigley’s Spearmint Gum, tastes so good you’ll just love to chew it” - how is this a valid slogan?!? “Food, tastes so good you’ll just love to eat it”. 🤔 “Made to make your mouth water”, though. Now that was a classic, and made sense.
