Man, this brings back some memories. Once, my ex-wife returned from a store called Big Lots (I don't know if you have them where you are) anyway, she came home with 3 Enterprise-B's! I went back and they had 11 more! Bought them all, tried doing a few, sold a few, gave away a couple, I'm sure.

I bought a few of those ships, built them just to make my mom crazy. Told her I was building an entire fleet.

I was in America back in 1996. I'm from Ireland and was hard to get these kits over here back then. so i had to buy the Enterprise B i also got the Defiant 1:420 scale. They are still on display today. Good memories

Sadly, the official Star Trek Fan Club folded several years ago, at least the operation in Aurora. I don't know what might have replaced it.

I have both versions. This one and the Round 2 rerelease. If you want i can compare both of them? I know right from the start that the newer kit does not have molded windows for example. But the window decals are seperate so they can be used as drill guide. Just checked. There are actually quite significant change sbetween the two. Still not perfect though. The warp crystals are (unlike the recent Excelsior) still molded in white plastic

If I remember correctly, the fins on the engineering section of the Enterprise B were added to the Excelsior model so the special effects team could show damage during the encounter with the Nexus, without having to rough up the actual model.

I had to look it up, but Scipubtech (the cutaway advertisement) still functions! And, the prices haven't changed either. I actually have the Enterprise-E cutaway framed on my wall.

Got this one and made it the "I.S.S. Enterprise-B" .

Got 1 as Enterprise, 1 as Excellsior(sic)

This Enterprise version is the least desirable of all of the STar Trek Ships. 😆😆
