I picked up an unloved AV6 about 10yrs ago because it was acousticly very lively and felt good in the hand... the pots and pickups weren't great but with bare knuckle and cts upgrades, it has become my go to guitar. Love it.

I own this guitar. It is great value for money. Playability straight out of the box is phenomenal. All positions have their own character. Brigde HB is a tad shrill clean but works very well with dirt. Recommendation!

I have the Oly white Thomas Blug strat modelled after his early 60s F3nd3r strat. I had a 62 F3nd3r strat in Oly white when I was 17 (I'm 71) and I really, really like the Vintage Brand take on this. However, it plays and sounds a whole lot better than my 62 strat did. I used to play my 62 strat through a Fender Bassman combo amp but I guess I got a dud because the other guitarist in my band had the exact same strat and it sounded killer. Anyway, I am really loving the Thomas Blug model. Cheers

I bought one of these last week, hopefully be here in a few days. I was just done with Squire and Fender for now. The quality control doesn’t seem to be what it used to with Squire and both companies can be hit and miss when it comes to tuning issues on strats I find. Thought I’d give this a shot having heard so many good things.

@@chesterkilmister having received it i can tell you honestly its a great guitar and the best thing aboutbit is the neck. Excellent fretwork, smooth board and satin back. Excellent action. I dont know if a fender neck would fit but honestly, it doesnt need changing. Youd be hard pressed to find a better neck than the one already on it.

0:22 oh, the neck and middle pickups are very very close to the strings…. have AlNiCo5 too on my Slick SL57 (with beveled pole pieces too), but moved them further away and slanted the bass side more. Lost volume and the plinky clarity und presence and indeed the slight warble while overdriven, but gained a more pleasant musical warmth. It‘s well worth to fiddle with the distance and tilt.😌✌🏼

The guitar looks great and sounds pretty good. The one thing that really bothers me is the staggered bridge holes on the block that you mentioned help the guitar stay in tune. This may be...However, I have never noticed that feature and I have six guitar builds all with Wilson bridges. My complaint with the Wilson bridges in general is that it is a monumental pain in the A every time you have to change stings. You have to relax all the saddles (taking off the screws) almost all the way to get the last four strings to come off and after all that, you have to completely re-intonate the guitar. I love guitar fetish and the Wilson bridges are sturdy and priced well but I could do without the staggered feature on the steel block. Just my 2 cents worth. Peace.

For the money it's a really good deal. I love the distressed look of it. Can't play for 💩 but always wanted to learn to play an aletric guitar. The one I would go for is this one Vintage V6H ICON HSS Electric Guitar ~ Ultra-Gloss Distressed Sunset Sunburst Shall one just give a real go and learn it. Learned how to play a tenor saxophone just thruu youtube mostly not the best player but hey still learned how to play a few songs 💪

I have V6P 3 P90 , why spend the money on a brand name when you can get a much better guitar hundreds of pounds less, Vintage are making better guitars than the Fender Player series and definitely the Classic Vibe but I agree the quality of these Vintages is brilliant , I have a Rosewood neck no sprouts the fret work is brilliant great weight, and yes the staggered block k and tuners, my guitar hardly has to be tuned, Trevor Wilkinson is genius, he has worked with Leo ,Les and Seth he understood the guitar, people have been trained over the years that a brand name matters most, and Vintage owners know it does not,

I bought a Vintage V6 and regretted it. Is the fingerboard proper rosewood, or is it made from hundreds of strips glued together? If the ends of the fingerboard are painted black, that's a giveaway: sand the paint off and you'll see that there's no proper end grain, and you can see where the strips are joined together. And is the bridge placed correctly? On mine it was out, and impossible to intonate. Never again.

Tough choice. If you want a rolled fretboard, Sire, but I think the hardware is better on the Vintage. I also have a feeling the Vintage is full thickness and polar whereas the Sire is thinner and mahogany (Sapele). Basically, Vintage is more vintage
