German wall mounted coffee grinder restoration.

I found this lovely Coffee grinder at a market in Hamburg-Germany and the price was 45 euro. This coffee grinder is to be mounted on the wall. The body where the coffee is stored is from ceramic,painted with white and blue and when you grind,the coffee goes down into small glass recipient which slides out. This is a really lovely piece.

@@CoolAgainRestoration well I took a closer look at the grinder I have, and it's actually completely different from yours. The hopper and glass drawer are the same, but my burr case has only two parts instead of three (mounting flange is integrated into back of the case). I watched this hoping you'd replace the plaster rim around the mouth of the hopper, but the fact that your lid fits snugly on the hopper suggests that yours never had one. My mistake.

Very nice job. A piece of advise: Always make a final demonstration. If you restore a saw, cut a wood. If you restore a coffee grinder, blend some seeds. Even if you restore a vase, put some flowers in it. And get a cat. :)

Very nice. I lived in Hamburg 2 years and after that I moved in Rellingen - Pineberg for another 1 year. Hamburg is a nice city. I was in many cities from Germany but in Hamburg I felt more free. The people are really chill there

I had one of these to restore a year ago, but it had a cast body and a wooden top. I managed to get most of it done, but it took a year to find a matching paint as it had a chalky feel to it. I wonder if there is a grinder part missing in your restoration as mine had two parts as most grinders have.
