My late father always used to tell me - "Jab Pandit Ji Gaane ke liye baiththe hain, to sabse pahale samast Rag aur Ragniya unke saamne natmastk ho jaate hain and unke charan chukar unka aasheerwad lete hain". As a child, I was never fully able to understand this myself until I listened to him myself in Savai Gandharva in 2004. Then I realized the full impact of how my father described Pandit ji to me.
