I bet Fever will win close to 90% of their remaining games. Caitlyn not playing in Olympics was a blessing in disguise. She is rested, motivated and has a chip on her shoulder. And her teammates now know to play her ball. In the first and second quarter, Kelsey blew two easy lay-ups after Caitlyn passed to her and two other players got their shots at the rim blocked. If they hadn't missed those, Caitlyn could have had 13-14 assists.
@mattgoldberg4335
@mattgoldberg4335 Ай бұрын
Fever played great, but with no exaggeration, they missed at least three layups off her passes, two or three other would-be bunnies were blocked by Ezi, four other passes led to missed layups but drew two foul shots, plus she had about 6 "hockey assists" where she saw a two-pass open shot, generally leading to an assist by KB. If only half of all of those became assists, that would have given her a total of 17 assists. No exaggeration.

@zikemdg the mercury and the storm are not walks in the park, those teams are ranked 6th and 4th I believe and they play the aces next so no not really an easier schedule. They are just getting firmiliar with eachother and I think the other players are buying in. They realize her style is the real deal and they are finally giving into it. I think putting hull in the starting lineup is good. She's is fast and full of energy. Which is what Clark's style needs. @@mezzb Great? 13% from under the paint? Most missed layups in the league? Hasn't even broken 400 points yet and the season is half over? And I believe she's the most blocked player in the league too. Catching 40% of her own missed shots might impress people, but not me personally. The only accolade that she has (and correct me if I'm wrong here) is that she has 15 double doubles in a row while she was up against bottom of the barrel teams, right? In the 2nd half, their schedule is reversed now. Now they're going to play the best in the league. And everybody gets double doubles. Caitlin gets them practically every night. Tonight she could've had another one but chose to sit down for the last few members so that her bench could get time on the court. She did the same thing in the All Star game. She never chased that stat, it just comes to her anyway, she doesn't need it. She broke another record today. That's 15 records. Reese has 2 (with the All Star record being questionable since it's not in regular season play). Is telling the truth about their stats and records slandering the other? No. Is bringing up her lewd behavior in front of children slandering her? Not if it's true and it's especially pertinent if some folks are saying that God is blessing her while she's doing lewd things and hanging out with drug dealers and woman beaters. I'm just not comfortable with that being said with God's name in it. You know what? In the All Star game, she was amazing. I want to see more of that. I salute you CC the general. Hull is blowing up. Hull and Clark remind me of the chemistry Clark and Kate had playing together at Iowa. I am loving the new aspects to Clarks game. In College she used to drive down the middle for an easy floater shot but she never took them, instead passing the ball out. I have noticed that because she always has at least 2 or 3 people guarding her that when she gets away from them she gets easy floater looks in the paint. She is perfecting this move now. Also she has got tougher and is pushing back with this toughness. When Seattle went on a fast break Clark stood in the middle of the court knowing the player receiving the pass could not see where she was, the player turned to dribble and Clark took the entire impact and stole the ball. The opposition player did not know what hit her and was still in shock that Clark dribbled up and hit a 3. I watched some WNBA games from the previous season including the finals and championship games. I could see an amazing difference from the speed of the game last season to this season. CC has introduced a much faster paced running game especially after defensive rebounds and the game has had to evolve into this from other teams to keep up. Fast breaks being utilized with incredible passing. The peripheral vision of CC is why she has already broken the WNBA record for assists from a rookie.

That was a nail-biter for three quarters, then Fever broke it open. Who'd have thought Lexi Hull would catch fire from the 3pt line? I'd have liked for CC to get one more assist, but oh well. I keep saying that this parallel that Clark's f(st)ans make with men's basketball is nonsense; only those who don't know much about basketball can do it. Furthermore, in this specific case, Clark (32.9%) is compared with Curry (42%). And Nash has 2.9 turnovers per game, Clark 5.6.

Clark and the Fever have already matched their 2023 season record of 13 Wins, and still have 7 home games and a much lighter schedule for the remainder of the season. In 2023 without Reese, the Sky had 18 Wins & 22 Losses In 2024 with 15 remaining games. Reese has led the Sky to 10 Wins & 15 Losses .400% down from .450% in 2023 So Reese now has to lead the Sky to 8 Wins to equal the 2023 record of 18 Wins & 22 Losses @.450% To do that the Sky must play at .533% for their remaining games and they are lining up against the Sun Aug 23rd, Aces Aug 25Th, Fever Aug 30th, Lynx Sept 1st, Aces Sept 3rd, Lynx Sept 13Th, Sun Sept 13th
