Static stretching is not recommended as a warm-up before an athletic activity. In fact, static stretching can negatively impact your performance and increase your risk of injury. Instead, static stretching is best used as a cool-down after a workout to help your body recover and speed up your recovery time. I think you should research this and start doing dynamic stretching Wesley.

They never like Wesley at the Olympia. Also I didn’t know what it was, maybe his tan or oil use, but at the Olympia he didn’t ‘pop out’ like he did at the Arnolds. There he was the clear winner.
@davidkosiba62419 сағат бұрын
He wasn't as conditioned as at the Arnold plus he just looks awkward in the back poses cause of his legs and glutes, not saying chicken legs but compared to every other classic guy he has a bad flow, if i wanna be harsh it reminds me of Nick Walker vs Andrew but this time Wesley vs Cbum , i like Wesley but he will never win Classic cause he not gonna look prettier than Mike, Ramon , Ruff etc (Urs imo also not aesthetic eventho he is also a great guy)

I think perhaps a lot of those guys going to open will finally clear the way for a TRUE 'classic 70s-80's era physique class and proper judging. Wesley, your own physique, as well as the years of work as an Ambassador for the true Classic style will pay off. I foresee the day when there is a "Wesley Vissers Classic" or maybe "The Dutch Oak Invitational" body building competition show. Also, I want to tell you that the 'unconventional training methods' remind me of ROCKY BALBOA. You have to think outside of the box to get to places no one else goes. Keep it up, Champ!

Some people point out static stretching is detrimental to lifting performance, however, the same studies note this effect only when stretches are held beyond 1 minute or so. Holding stretches for a few seconds alternating with a few swings here and there is perfectly fine, especially before the warmup sets on a cold day. But again, it’s better to tryout all stuff and see what works for you.

I love how you are willing to think outside of the box & bring in a female to help you with non-traditional movements. Many bodybuilders aren't willing to get instruction from someone who isn't nearly as developed as them, but since they focus on glute development there's much to be learned. Very few competitors winning major shows have the humility to become a student once again, but those are the guys who will now be placing behind you. I really enjoyed her sarcasm & humor, made the video much more entertaining than usual. Keep up the great work & I hope to see you as the next Classic Mr. O!
