In an era of cheap synths that really compete with the plugin market, it's nice to see the Rolls Royce of analogue hardware produce a flagship worthy of the name. Yes, not many people can and will afford this but these synths last decades and the quality of sound and build speaks for itself.

It's a very intriguing instrument. In the few demoes so far, the instrument is showing many different sides of its sound capabilities. I feel this instrument could both sound classic but also very modern. This must be one of the most versatile analog synths ever designed. I'm looking forward to more demoes that show it's many sides.

The bar has been raised for sure. A new classic. 9 configurable CV in's and out's? an XY pad? Effects by Eventide? 3 synth multitimbrality with 16 voices x 3 oscillators? This thing is crazy.

The sounds from the Moog One in this video is awesome. I'm sorry but comparing a six voice poly to this is nothing but comedy. This is a classic and a top synth for years to come.

A stunning synth for sure. Love that you can split the keyboard into three separate synth sounds with independent sequencing. But the price is a bit staggering.
@derekbaker32796 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's expensive, but some people spend that much on a guitar or two with an amp & effects pedals. Also, if you adjust the old Memory Moog price for inflation, it would be more than 10K today, and this has far more functionality. Finally, this will last longer than many of us...lol...almost a family heirloom item. 🙂

I love the sound. If you play it as a mono synth, it just sounds like a Minimoog.

Holy crap this thing is awesome! Better than the Memorymoog could ever hope to be and it sounded great as well! This thing has the beautiful looks-obviously based on the Memorymoog but I'll just say it's way cleaner and refined looking. I want it so bad I'd sell my vintage Model D plus Kronos 88, Odyssey, Kurzweil VP, DMX--everything I own -including my dog to get one of these!!! Damn!..Well maybe not my dog but still, Moog absolutely knocked it outta the park with this one IMHO!!! Pricey but of course we expected that didn't we? One had to assume it would cost at least 1.5x to 2x more than the Model D or at least $3000 more! I've been waiting on such a synth for years now and they finally did it!!! It was really worth the wait and I think it will be a home run for Moog! Thanks to Moog Music for such an awesome sounding/looking synth! This thing definitely makes one want to forget the Obies, Korgs, Rolands & Prophet Polysynths at least for a little while and I've owned them all but this thing is a beast! I Love it!

It looks like it's a heavy beast, so I am wondering if there are plans for a 'desktop' version of this dream machine. Also, I'm curious re: control pedal input(s). It would be nice to have two layers smoothly transition between them, or perhaps configured a footswitch to change from one patch to another.

This is the best demo of the One so far by a mile. Unison voice spread is a nice idea. I love it how the promoters are making a meal out of 3 part multi-timbrality as if a thousand other synths don't have it - but this is with real analog of course. Your video shows more of the interesting features and some of the weird ones that are going to give it THE sound. Akso I live how you called the filter Multi Mode, which is more accurate than calling it Variable State.

Between 8:00 and 8:35, I begin wanting to hear the beginning of the Alan Parsons tune “Damned if I Do”, which featured a sound like this one at the beginning. Exactly how many people will get one? And then, how many people will get it with 16 notes of polyphony versus 8?

Agreed. This is expensive but it’s the first new release synth in I don’t know how long that I actually really, really want to get. Worthy of the Moog name and the feature set is mind blowing. This is the new benchmark and arguably justifies that price tag.
