Great honest review Kat! I’m not the most experimental person and tend to stick to what suits my skin for at least a year or two before even thinking of switching or trying something new. And if the new one doesn’t work then I’ll just go back to what I used before 😁 To me, the biggest contribution to having good skin is eating well and generally having a healthy lifestyle. You can use La Mer day and night but if you’re putting crap into your body and smokes and drinks, then it really defeats the purpose! But it’s always useful to have more knowledge and know what’s popular out there. I love how passionate you are about skincare and obviously, your glowing skin is a testament of your daily routine. 😍💞💞

Ahhh I wish this were true for me... I sleep a lot, drink lots of water, work out, and don't drink coffee or alcohol and without my skincare routine my skin is GARBAGE :( It's just SOOOOO dry and Sweden is so dry that it's just a nightmare. Unfortunately I have to rely on a good skincare routine to get my skin into a healthy condition, but I'm sure the other stuff helps too! I'm so passionate about skincare because it makes such a big difference in my life! I love trying new things and my little ritual of doing my skincare each morning and evening is so precious to me now :) Thanks for such a lovely comment!

Now that it is hot I love the Calendula and Jasmine Face oil. In Winter the Night oil, all the year the Toning Serum and the Geranium Cleansing Oil and my newest love is the lip serum. During the year I switch to other brands, too.

My skin has been very sensitive for the past few years and I only started serious skincare recently. A one product shop does sound a little bit tempting, however $225 is a bit much of a risk for me to take especially when my skin reacts to pretty much everything! Lol

I feel like this product could really go either way. if it suits you, it would be so convenient to minimise your skincare to just a few steps (this, plus a cleanser, and possibly a moisturiser depending on your skin type?) which is really amazing! but it's just such an expensive product, and I prefer the flexibility of building my routine. But this is the trend! So perhaps you can find another multi tasking product that's more within your price range if it looks interesting! Having sensitive skin can be really tough :(

I'm actually very curious about this product. Imagine how much money we could save if we all just used one or two products instead of the tons of separate products that many of us invest in. Honestly, $225 USD is not much if it can truly replace my overflowing medicine cabinet of lotion and potions. It's not likely to be my HG, I know this and yet what if it is?! Wow, that's an expensive oil! It seems like because there's so much competition that they're trying to put everything in one oil-more is better type of thing. Thank you for this insightful video! I completely agree with your reasoning... especially if your skin is more mature and you already incorporate Tretinoin or another prescription -strength Retin-A. In my routine, I cannot combine that core ingredient with BOTH vitamin C and a chemical exfoliant. In all honesty, I’d like to supplement Tretinoin with both vitamin A and a mild chemical toner exfoliate in my weekly routine, and I have favorites for each individual ingredient, but the balance continues to stay just out of grasp. 😘

I totally agree! I like picking and choosing and building my routine one product and one ingredient at a time to make it as flexible and suitable to my skin. I change my routine when I am sick or for the different seasons or for other things as well. So having lots of specific products for specific tasks makes it really simple to adapt your routine for what your skin needs! I LOVE their first product so I was really hoping they would make another product, but unfortunately this one isn't for me!

I use a product that has all those ingredients except vitamin c. I have dry to normal and sensitive skin and it works very well. So I guess it’s what they do in the lab. Mine leaves my skin moisturized and smooth😁

What I find strange with this essence is that water isn't in the ingredients list. The reason I find that strange is because most plant extracts have water in the them as a result of the extraction process which should be listed in the ingredients. Any thoughts on this?

First, you know what you're talking about and that's cool. Next, this product is good for someone who is older. Young people love layering and trying the latest products and watching KZbin reviews etc. But someone who is, say, 50 years old or older may just want a no-fuss routine that's top quality, and they can likely afford it. After seeing this video, I was like, "This would be perfect for my mom." The product does all the thinking for you. Sure, they may be some compromises since it's an all-in-one but that's better than not using those critical ingredients at all. Great video btw. You know your stuff.

I was wondering about this product I really appreciate this video ❤️ I am the same way I prefer multiple steps with singular purposes rather than one step that does everything. That way it’s easier to know what’s working and adjust as my skin needs. I also just am just a skincare fanatic and I like having like 20 step routines. Actually after watching this I was like “I’m not exfoliating every day anymore” then went home and immediately used my Sunday Riley UFO oil. It’s an issue my addiction to chemical exfoliants lol. How often do you use them?

Depending on your skin type I wouldn't use them more than 2-3 times per week. So every second day at the most. I also really recommend exfoliating in the evening since the sun damage that can result from chemical exfoliation can be really serious! I use a proper exfoliant when my skin is very dull but when it's either happy or sensitive I wouldn't use one at all, or the exfoliating toner :)
