Sometimes you just gotta bring it back to basics to make some advanced bangers.

Exactly, I've been thinking a lot about my OG setup with a turntable and the MPC 4k. I made soooo much music on that setup

That was great fun! I don't do much with samples, so it was really interesting and inspiring to see your workflow. Thanks!

Made it look simple, even with the happy accidents. Good work, man!

great jam! really enjoyed it, thank you for sharing
@chestnut408 сағат бұрын
That's how it should be 👌 There are always so many nice of passages in discarded/ rejected records that are great for sampling if you just good listening ;-) Well done 🙌

Digitakt needs slicing and polyphony then there is no need to have 2 devices. Don’t get me wrong, I love the SP and its workflow yields interesting results but it’s more a sketchpad for me and I just end up sampling my chops into the Digitakt and its double the work.
@el_dani7 сағат бұрын
yeah; the 404 looks like an intermediate device that shouldn‘t be with the Digitakt 2 power (and purchasing cost).

Call me crazy… but this track feels like Christmas morphing itself back into reality. I might be driving to this video all week!

Just as I was contemplating getting a record player again…how do you do this? 🤨
@el_dani7 сағат бұрын
Who isn‘t contemplating getting a record player again? Why sell them in the first place? Oh, I‘ve got not space for the vinyls 😮

Thanks Ricky, again a wonderfull inspiration. There is only one thing that i wanted to mention, please go back to the longer videos... they are great, even when it takes 10 mintues more, i would say even better !! The quick stuff is for the TikTok genration... ;-) (Am i that old... ! ;-( haha) Anyway thanks again, great stuff as always !!

interesting seeing the sample source > sp404 > digitakt workflow! nice beat at the end too :)
@1UpBebop19 сағат бұрын
If the SP404 mk2 was just a giant skip back button, it would still be worth what they charge. That load from buffer is the greatest thing ever. I've made entire tracks just - Dick around -> Skip back -> save. Dick around -> Skip back -> Save, rinse repeat, then chop and arrange.
@HIFI196515 сағат бұрын
Truth. Also use it as my main audio interface, so anything I hear, just bam.
@el_dani7 сағат бұрын
let‘s hope Digitakt 2 has enough power for a skip back function

I wish I could do this! Love music but I hit the wall when trying to express my ideas with hardware. I can do some good stuff with GarageBand and pre-made samples and loops.
@carstenaltena21 сағат бұрын
Nice backdrop like this!
@Delano87619 сағат бұрын
this is awesome ive been thinking about getting the digitakt also but, is there by any chance you make a video on how to route guitar pedals to ise with these devices or daw ?
@el_dani7 сағат бұрын
Ricky did a lot of videos about including fx, what do you need to know? Maybe some audio routing information is what you need, but I would look out on written information.
