I know what you mean. My copy isn't the best pressing, but It's not bad. Plays OK. I do keep my eye open for a better copy. Rough Trade had a 50th anniversary out earlier this year but it sold out before I noticed. They have a 180gm version availabke at £22. I thought about it but decided my copy is OK enough. Hi Steve and say hello to Sutton from me! I lived in Sutton a couple of times in the 80s and 90s in between various relocations with my job. Four Oaks/Mere Green in the late 80s and Little Aston in the mid 90s (postal address said Little Aston but it was geographically more Streetly being just off Hardwick Road). Great vinyl tag video Andy, I just discovered your channel and subbed you up, dig that YES picture disk, My Bloody Valentine and Muse great stuff, also King Crimson makes me think of one of my new favorite bands, I believe they may be from your neck of the woods, King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizard, I discovered them a few years back and they are pretty darn good, I mainly talk rock vinyl on my channel and post a few concert clips, thanks again for sharing the awesome records, Peace!

Thanks, Mike. I have a few King Gizz albums, but only one on vinyl which is a live box set. They must be one of the most prolific bands on the planet releasing so many albums. Hi Andy. Great varied selection. I picked 'Vini Reilly' by Durutti Column for the Manchester question ... Lankum are an extraordinary band. I first heard them on John Kelly's Mystery Train show on RTE Lyric FM. If you've not listened before, he plays some interesting stuff. Every episode is a musical journey (some better than others) ... I picked a Funkadelic album too ... If the first Yndi Halda record is a one-hour EP, then 'Tubular Bells' can I suppose be classed as a 12-inch single, and 'Close To The Edge' is a maxi-single. I love that Captain fantastic album, setting sons is definitely my favorite jam album, I was lucky enough to find the 79 Canadian pressing which adds strange town and butterfly collector. It seems like oasis fans are either a Noel or Liam fan, I’m definitely Noel

I’ve watched a bunch of vids for this topic and have not seen anyone pick Sparks. They released both Kimno My House and Propaganda in 1974. They also have a great 2023 release as well.

I've seen a few people pick the new album in their 2023 top albums list. For me they are a band I've always liked but not quite enough to buy their albums. 'Loveless' was not the debut from MBV.. 1988s 'Isn't Anything' was.

@@andysalbums they recorded a ton of stuff prior to Loveless, which I hope you've checked out. Recommend the eps 88-91 released on cd in 2012(?) - You Made Me Realise, Feed Me With Your Kiss, Glider and Tremolo. A glorious compilation and a taste a what was to come, and way overdue a vinyl release. I'd be interested to hear what you think of the album 'mbv', btw.. Kudos for Durutti Column inclusion.. One day, Vini will have a glorious day in the sun - until now, at least, shamefully overshadowed by the similarly gifted Johnny Marr. Vini has a broader range, depth and emotion to his compositions. He should be globally recognised.

As I recall it was a fine album but not as good as Loveless. Yes I agree that Vini is criminally under-rated. He is such a superb guitarist and such a shame he can't play is as well since his stroke.
