I think it’s because there’s FAR more detail. 2011 seems rushed in the parts that 1999 covered, which is a damn shame. If 2011 was a straight-up remake of 1999, with EVERYTHING in it, it would probably be way better.

This song sounds so comforting yet it makes be a bit sad because of nostalgia. This is the feeling that I love and hate at the same time. I don't know if hearing this song makes me happy or sad but I'm sure that I do miss my childhood years, those precious times of easy life without much to worry about. Now I'm just a good-for-nothing depressed adult, I was once a child with so much potential but now there's nothing left in me and this shit that I'm feeling right now sucks. Honnestly l don't thank Togashi for this masterpiece l thank studio Nippon Animation, they did a great job and they should get credit for it, the osts, the details they added to the characters, emotional and sentimental scenes that are missing in the 2011 version, l'd love to go on but l'm not a native English speaker and l can't find the right words to keep describing this perfect work

Floyd May or May Not Weather exactly! The 1999 version is very memorable. It reminds you of your childhood. I love both versions of Hunter X Hunter! For some reason, I cry every time I listen to this. I used to watch the classic HxH on TV every morning, before going to school. I just can't explain it, but I feel very emotional. And funnily enough I'm pretty stoic myself, but this song, these memories from my childhood break me down. It feels nice though =) Also, all the characters are superb, but there's something about Gon that is very precious. In my opinion he is so unique because deep down he's just a laidback, honest, kind kid from the countryside. He's got a strong spirit and a good heart, and because of that he wins over everyone he meets in his journey. Thanks to his pureness of heart and strong spirit, Gon conquers the world (so to speak). That's very beautiful honestly. The world needs more Gons :D
