It's not very obvious to foreigners that this is a water bridge. First time driving there, at night? There are lights, IF working (2 of 3didn't work the night of the accident). But in the UK, blinking means the barriers are just closing, a warning. Steady lights mean Do not cross at all, train is coming. In Sweden blinking means they're already down and time to stop. Different meanings. They had normal speed, couldn't see warnings bc THEY DIDN'T WORK that night. Didn't know it was a water bridge, not railroads. Possibly crashed the first barrier. Thinking it's a railroad, rushing again to make it through, crushing barrier 2 not knowing it's a water bridge, not railroads. That's a very possible explanation for the tragedy. Horrible loss of 5 lifes. Tragic and sad :(

I don't understand why the driver didn't just stop and wait in line with the other cars. I suspect there was impatience to get back to the band's hotel as it was 2am, and a foolish decision was made to avoid the delay.

They couldn't see the warning lights. On their side it was not working, the other side blocked by vehicles. They had normal speed, thinking they might just make it when they crashed barrier 1. Thinking it ws a railroad crossing, they might speed up again to reach barrier 2 in thinking to not be crushed by a train. Little did they know it was a water bridge. In my opinion a horrible accident, but no one to blame in the car. Blame is on swedish company with the non functioning lights that night and the stupid fact that blinking lights have different meaning in Sweden and UK.

Why isn’t anyone looking into the possibility of Acceleration surge on Nissan Qasqui - it occurs when it’s cold or when battery is low . It’s been reported in similar vehicles and other accidents

Its not like a myriad of famous musicians have suddenly and inexplicably (ie non-natural) died....Is it my perception or does this phenom seem to be happening more often?
@maxp92928 ай бұрын
This observation may be affected by the "availability bias," where people perceive frequent occurrences of events that are more readily available in their memory, often due to media coverage or public attention. Musicians' deaths might receive more coverage, creating the impression that they happen more frequently than they actually do.
