This video has been out there for a couple a years but I just found it and it’s FANTASTIC!!!! She didn’t waste time at the beginning and she was very detailed regarding the Prepoo, etc. I especially appreciated seeing WHEN she used the flaxseed gel….and HOW she used the glosses she had already made. I have been searching for a video that shows how to use a gloss that has been frozen. She covered EVERYTHING!! I LOVED THIS VIDEO!!! 🌼

Thank you Vyala for sharing your full hair care routine, not to mention the editing, music etc. - sheer perfection. I didn't appreciate how much home made gels and treatments are more effective and certainly inexpensive than shop bought products. The flax seed gel hold is amazing. I am so pleased with the results and most definitely my best wash n go by far. I still need to use up my old products e.g. Trepodora gels, which i want to wind down bc they contain glycerine. In this extreme humid climate, I find that the glycerine just draws too much water from the air. I will see how i get on with the flax seed gel.

Hello! I started doing a lot of research on Ayurvedic hair care and I wasn't really sure what to really look at in terms of research. I'm big on learning things before I dive in so I know what I'm getting into safely, without wasting ingredients and damaging myself(though I don't think any of this is damaging) I just wanted to ask how do you know what to aim for or what works for what? So far I have this little note about what to mix for a hair mask (I think once a week or month I have to go back and look) the note says: 1/2 cup of brahmi powder and amla 2 tbs neep powder, amla powder, reetha powder, and shikakai powder turn into a paste with some water and 2 tbs of lemon juice leave on hair for an hour than wash with herbal shampoo (If this is helpful in anyway please let me know) as for the herbal shampoo I chose Mielle rosemary and mint shampoo and conditioner. So far Mielle has been really nice to my hair As for the oil section I chose lots of oils like rosemary, rose, etc and even thought about leaving fenugreek seeds in there to infuse with the oil(Some part of research said to leave in direct line of sunlight for infusing) I'm not sure if that's right or not but like I said, I'm open to discussion and education! I'm sorry for making this entire paragraph thing in the comments haha, I hope this wasn't a waste of time for anyone to read ^^

@VyalaBloom3 жыл бұрын
I totally understand that frustration! I am a huge advocate for simplifying routines as much as possible. Feeling overwhelmed during self care is completely contradictory and makes it hard to keep up with your routine! I honestly really don't like shampooing my hair 😅so I will only do it about once a month or mayyybe every 6-8 weeks if I can stretch that long. Do you know if it would still be effective to use your hair mask although I may have a lot of gel and styling cream on my hair befote washing it?
@VyalaBloom3 жыл бұрын
I think so! Unless if you have like 3lbs of gel on your hair I am sure you will get plenty of benefit. I almost _always_ apply my masks on dirty hair (and believe me I use a lot of flaxseed gel) and my hair thrives more and more. If you're concerned, you can quickly rinse some of the product out of your hair before applying this mask... In my experience though, the most important aspect in not only herbal but in any haircare regime is consistency. You will get way more out of doing a mask once a week on dirty hair than to do 1 mask a month of perfectly clean hair. Hope this helps

🌻your hair is absolutely stunning! Thank you for all the tips so far. Would the flax gel give volume to completely straight and flat hair? Or would it weigh it down even more?
@VyalaBloom3 жыл бұрын
I think flaxseed gel would weigh down straight hair as a leave in. However, if you used it as a treatment prior to shampooing or rinsing your hair, it can give you a brilliant shine and luster! Especially if you use it regularly.
@denyshadials57023 жыл бұрын
It’s also great for roller sets, pin curls, and blow drying. I used it all the time for my chemically-straightened hair. If you don’t boil the seeds as long, you’ll get gel that feels more like a serum. If you add an oil, make sure you use a light one like almond or jojoba, and only add a drop.

I can't say! I don't have experience using ginger in my haircare routine though just doing a quick online search it seems that there's a lot of mixed data on it's effects on hair and scalp health. some saying it can improve hair growth, while others say it reduces hair growth. of course research more for yourself, but until then maybe just keep it to ginger tea (for ingestion) for now :)

To be totally honest, I've kinda given up on defining my hair type! My curl pattern changes quite a bit depending on the masks and ingredients I use, or how I style my hair. Dry as in brittle and strawlike🤔...Maybe try adding 1 tsp of castor oil and 1 tbsp of honey to make it more moisturizing and flake free. You can also steep some rose petals and hibiscus flowers for a least 30 minutes after straining to make it more moisturizing. You can even make a separate batch of marshmallow root and slippery elm gel and combine it with the flaxseed gel 😉
