Good thing I clicked on this video to be told what violence of action is. I feel like alot of these channels push the same basics you learn in ait. And put a spin on them or create a definition no one knows of or uses for violence of action.

When I used to clear whole structures and rooms with my partner, we would practice what's being taught in this video: "Expect a bad guy around every corner." Thus our weapons were trained on everything we looked at.

BLD Lightpainting you're certainly right, if expecting a threat, your focal point and muzzle direction should stay close together

Holding a corner with your flash light as you put, it isn’t momentum, it’s denying the enemy freedom of movement, but every thing else was sound. Beard on!!

Thats momentum, think of it as a category. He would be denying the enemy momentum in that case, and is then able to create momentum within his team on Attack, holding the enemy in place

Israeli CQB is a reasonable option for concrete structures, like found in Israel. Otherwise, not a great idea, as sheetrock walls and hollow wood doors are not "cover", they do not protect you from the bad guy in the room

I love this channel, but I think Chappy has downgraded VOA to Decisive Action. I still think VOA involves more than just pressing, it has to include overwhelming action that rattles the brain or processing of the subject. This includes verbal, physical, and weapons use.

Da-fuk..... its Generally understood as?... Momentary thing?... just standing and using your flashlight? the book definition of violence of action is not that hard to remember... And a lot of what you said contradicts it. Violence of action- the un-restricted use of speed, aggression, surprise and strength used to totally dominate the enemy ....... this has been a regular forces thing for my entire 20 years and was long before that.

Agree with the tactics, disagree with the mindset, especially in regards to police. Police are not hunters of citizens, they are guard dogs. Guard dogs do not kill sheep that run a stray, they herd them back to the pack. It such a mindset, the killers mindset, the warriors mindset, that is leading to so many unarmed citizens getting killed in the street. Instead of herded back into line, life lessons intact, they are separated from the herd and slaughtered. That is not what I and many freedom loving Americans would call policing or herding or guarding. That's an act of war of citizens, an assasination, a killer looking for "prey." That's not what police should be thinking when they need to arrest people. Most police never fire their weapon. Too many that do these days my get to exploit the current loophole that makes it legal to shoot an unarmed citizen, but its never moral. I think training facilities need to get ahead of the curve. Soon enough laws are going to be passed to limit cops legal protections when they shoot an unarmed person.

So much is wrong in this statement its laughable. I'll attack the mindset portion first though. Its quite simple when i'm executed warrant I'm hunting somebody, when i respond to an open door/burglary call and i'm clearing a structure that's a hunting mentality. Look I get it you don't like police or the way the job is done that's fine. Its a warrior job whether you like it or not. Name me another profession domestically that can be murdered for doing their job. At the end of the shift i'm going home period end of story. That's a warrior mindset ill do whatever it takes to get home to my family and if that means a offender doesn't go home so be it.

@@deank5649 Sex workers are more likely to get murdered at work than cops by like a thousand times does that mean they're superior warriors to the police? Cops should be more concerned wearing a mask, getting vaccinated, and buckling up since COVID and Car accidents killed more of them than bullets in the worst year for shooting deaths by 500%. Also, do you support getting guns off the street through gun control legislation? If you're worried about getting shot that much that seems like it would be a preemptive solution than your passion for man-hunting.
@nathanclyde415110 ай бұрын
@@deank5649Your warrior mindset is not what the American people deserve. Police so often separate themselves from citizens. Law enforcement is not the military. You are not supposed to be hunting your fellow citizens as if they are prey. Your mindset shows why law enforcement is unhinged and cannot be tamed. It has transitioned from a police force to a military force.

Violence of action includes being ready to engage when crossing the line of departure: Having your gun up. Next time better review your B-roll when you want to make a statement.
@ChristopherWalkenActor6 жыл бұрын
I don't know anything (I'm just a civilian noob), but I was taking a class about clearing rooms and the instructor talked about how when he trains SWAT guys they will often go through the entire house with their guns up, looking through the sights. So he said to break them of this habit, he'll put something small that rolls (like a broomstick or golf club) right on the ground behind a door to a room that they need to clear. They open the door, and because they have tunnel vision looking through their sights for targets, they trip on the broomstick and fall on their ass. Just a story.
@cseif46476 жыл бұрын
Christopher Walken You want your gun up and in the fight, but you should be looking over your optic, not through it. I typically run my rifle so that it only takes a small movement to be In the glass, but I scan looking over it so I don't become fixated on the reticle. Making entry at the low ready is, in my opinion, bad practice.
@Contra16166 жыл бұрын
Maybe. Maybe not. Sticking your gun out into a room where a bad guy can see it, but you can't yet see him...maybe not a great idea.
@ThorsMjollnir03413 жыл бұрын
You get tunnel vision when looking through your sights. Also looking for something to shoot which is not exactly best protocol for police.
