Nice tour, Chris! There was a lot more history to see here than I would have expected. DuPont museums in Delaware are well worth the trip, especially Winterthur. I definitely want to check out Violet Bank. Thank you!

@@VATravels Notwithstanding the phenomenon of acoustical shadow, Lee likely heard the Crater explosion at 4:44 am on the morning of July 30th,. I've heard old men (many born in 1890"s) recall their grandfathers hearing the explosion down in Waverly and below (about 25 miles east).

I went to school here in the 1970’s. The public library used to be in the basement. There is an old cemetery behind a house across the street East of Violet Bank. I’m uncertain who is buried there there ; as it is on private property.
