この回は後半じわじわ泣けてくるんだけど、手紙が送られてきて泣き、そしてヴァイオレットの涙でこちらも涙腺崩壊する。 内容分かっていて、何回も観ているけれど、毎回涙腺崩壊するww アニメは日本の文化だとか口だけで本当の意味が分かっていないだろう政治家のおっさんどもよ。 これが国境や文化を越えて感動や共感を生むアニメの力だよ。

This get me differently, I see people saying how hard must it be to lose a mother or a father. But for me, I had abusive parents, and this episode destroys me. Showing me how good of a mother someone can be, how I wanna be, it makes me cry so much I'm crying while typing this. My dream is to give to my kids the love, happiness and protection I didn't have, and much more. So this hit close to home.

(share account with my wife so not her actually writing cuz her parents are wonderful) 100% relate and this WRECKED me for the same reasons.. It's almost like a handbook on how to be an amazing parent and guardian. This episode goes down in my mind and heart as one of the most emotionally moving moments in cinematic history. Forget anime, I've shown this to friends that have never seen anime before and not a single dry eye. Each person connects to it differently, but the writing is so honest and touching that every soul watching can relate in some vastly personal way. Beautiful... simply beautiful...

Of course the ending gets me, but one of the smaller moments that really messed me up was Ann blaming herself for her mother’s sickness. It’s such an innocent and childlike thing to do, to try to rationalize something unfair and random. Her mother didn’t deserve what happened to her and was near perfect in her eyes, so from her perspective she figures it must be her fault. The much harsher truth of course being that it isn’t anyone’s fault. Life is random and can be cruel and bad things can happen to good people for no apparent reason. It’s a tough lesson to learn so young.

There are many things they don’t understand, and many things that they can’t do anything about because they’re “just children”. So situations where there isn’t anything anyone can do about them are even more crushing for children.

Just a minor correction, Violet is not emotionless at all. All those emotions have always been inside her, she was just never taught how we're supposed to channel them. She's learning it slowly now, that's one of the most beautiful aspects of this anime.

WTF it should have Goblin Slayer warning before every episode.
