That's awesome shayden is paying his own way. I would guess that if he needed extra , you guys would do it as well ! My parents paid for some of mine, then I also scholarships . When I was done , I had one loan for 18 grand to pay off. When my son went to school it sure was a lot more expensive. So as I am a mom, I helped pay most all of it .

How come the parents don’t have a place they share and alternately go to while the children stay in one place ? Would be less expensive and the kids wouldn’t have to up root themselves every week, get used to it and then up root again. I know, some one is going say mind your own business, etc. but it’s a legitimate question. Parents who divorce seem to put their kids in this position and I wonder how it must be like to be those kids.

It really wouldn't be less expensive since there would still be two places to pay for. I, for one, wouldn't want to share a living space with my ex (and we are still best friends) even if we weren't there at the same time. It's amazing how kids get used to going back and forth. Mine did it for years (one of my kids still does it and he's in his 20's!) with no ill effects.
