I would 100% have the kitchen as you look down the hallway! Will be such a lovely thing to look at as you walk in! Also (not that you’re going to any time soon) but reselling will be a lovely viewing point as you walk through the door! I would do kitchen on back wall and a small island in the middle with sink ( if feasible) so it’s very social can look at girls at some point during cooking preparing process and not have your back to them the whole time! Then have a smaller table for 4 that you can extend to make for 6 if need be and then have girls play area next to that against the wall! Can have units for storage so looks nice but also and a play mat with all their bits out for daily! Hope that gives insight 🤍🤍🤍

We used Wren, they were fabulous. Take your architects drawings to them with the measurements & book an appointment, I think it lasts 90 mins. They basically play with different layouts, taking into consideration your budget & how many units you want & then make it 3D. Then…they make it 4D where you put on glasses & hand paddles & you “walk around” the space so that you get a feel for how it looks, utilities the area. Ours turned out exactly the same, it was incredible!

So much is happening with the house it is going to be amazing! For your kitchen, I think having the kitchen on the wall at the hall door, the length of the room, and then a long island in front of it. Then you can have the lounge area, dining area, and a play area 😊 I love designing layouts and have done it for loads of friends, so I am happy to do up a drawing for you if you want ❤

Imogen your voice sounds different in this one? Is it the audio? Also, the kitchen I think you should have it near the window wall as there will be alot of light reflecting and will make the space look bigger. Maybe you could have the kitchen running along the wall & then an Island in the middle? Also the girls area would look nice near the bifolds with a cute sofa & then the dining table adjacent to the kitchen? I would definitely say if u get an island then get the Hob on the island that way ur watching the girls whilst cooking? Get lots of storage inside the utility room to maximise space & also get some cute shelves. I am getting my kitchen from wrens so would recommend them! Downstairs toilet under the stairs is a great idea!! Media wall for the living room is 10/10! Love that you’ve done that!

Would recommend Wren kitchens, they did a brilliant job from start to finish and really help with the design and layout decision’s, they also have a really cool experience where they design the kitchen and then you use virtual reality goggles and your actually standing in your own kitchen space and you can fully imagine being in there. You can open cupboards and drawers and everything. Might be good for you? ❤

I think you should do a consultation with an interior architect maybe! They’ll be able to mock up the living space and give you different options to show you what works best xx
