i thought it was indeed very tricky to defend this speedling rush, because the way flash tried to defend it was this, op i see the lings trying to sneak around the mineral line, so he emptied the bunker and ran them towards the choke to his main (also blocked the back of the mineral lines with scvs so the lings couldnt get through.) but then the lings went back up towards the bunker and the rines were out of place and they got surrounded and scvs couldnt block proper. effort did an awesome rush

@SSdraken not that strange that he screwed up a bit with the block. I remember how in the last OSL or MSL, where he met Jaedong (think it was the series with the computer fail), he neglected to build some turrets in his main and got owned by the initial muta harass.

well effort sent those zerglings around and flash had to send his marines back or the zerglings would have gone for a rampage in flashes main base, so when flash tried to stop the zerglings from running into his base effort sent his zerglings back, so it was a sort of damned if you do and damned if you dont

Spoiler!!! I think the biggest error apart from the build was the point where he let a few zerglings in and then pulled marines to go down and deal with them. If only he left those marines to defend the front door and dealt with zerglings with the SCVs, granted he would've lost more SCVs but might've held the front and then... well, who knows.

G4 reminded me of Jaedong vs Fantasy in the Bacchus OSL semi's from 09 where he failed a 4 pool and pooled it out. That takes more then skill. Flash has all the skill but I think he lacks the 'magic'.

Why not lifting of the command center build a engineering bay and a supply depot and use these three buildings to block off the choke in front of his natural expansion. Would have worked best in my opinion.

Extremely disappointed in the final game, especially after waiting so long for it to upload to see flash get taken out by a zergling rush leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Guess this proves that even the greatest players are not perfect.

@wasdwasdedsf I don't understand how you came to this conclusion I want my commentators to know the game better than I do, and I want them to point out things they feel are being done in error... and yes, a pro gamer knows starcraft better than just about any commentator, but they don't get to see what commentators get to see flash spent about 6 months failing with this very build... a commentator pointing out that it's dumb to come back to that in an ace match is doing his job.

YEAaaaaaHHS amazing!! perfect counter by effort even though he wasnt positive flash was going to go for a fast cc. maannnn i loved this series. effort is the champ. flash's silly little try to sneak a fast command center seems to ALWAYS be the downfall in his play. i think effort kind of actually knew flash was going to go to try to get the early advantage which is why effort went hatch expo and gas before pool even. very nice! effort is amazing
