i love the hard on suzuki!!! i didnt do the hard on suzuki method but i did do suzuki ive played for a year and a half im currently playing dvorak humoresque, i never had played this piece cause in orchestra i was already shifting so we had to go to book three. good job!!! By the way, when i go to higher postions when im in 5th is that when i really need to start to bring my elbow out more?
@violingardenacademy Жыл бұрын
Wow, thats a fast track you are on! With regards to the shifting - 1st to 4th position are executed with the arm, and as of the 5th and upward, you need to swing your elbow forward, so that your hand is brought, or guided to the note. You dont want your hand to change its form too much. Wishing you all the best for your practice!

May I ask one question: when playing the second quadruplet, can I keep the second finger down on C when playing the first 2 notes(E & D)? Is it because of to guarantee to stretch finger 4 & 3 to the correct position, so we need to lift finger 2 first? Thanks 🙏
@violingardenacademy Жыл бұрын
Lifting the second finger after placing the fourth is the correct way of doing it, so I would do that even if it is difficult. The reason being that you need to train your hand to prepare for the second finger pattern (second finger low) as you will need it from now on. I recommend practicing with the video, and on your own, focusing on that motion, and you will be pleasantly surprised how easy it will become after enough repetitions😊🎻✨🦋
