i bought three of the 300 blurple lights after i got sick of the metal haylight i had i as a matter of fact had the viper spectra 300 crap out after 9 months and i had it replaced by the manufacture.. they were never really any good... but i grew some huge plants with them...for sure..

Other then that amazing veg and starter light for seeds and clones give really good flowers also just have to keep it in a 3×3

It is. The shiny surface on the driver messes with the temp gun. It's probably up around 140. It's uncomfortable to leave your hand on it.

hey could you please tell me if its better to run 1 stronger LED light or 2 weaker ones? for example running 1 x 2000 watt Mars hydro vs running 2 x 1000 watt Mars hydros side by side? cant seem to find any reliable answers anywhere :\

Well I think 2 lights so you could get more light coverage and evenly instead of running one light concentrating in a are unless you have a light mover that's just my honest opinion

I have the p2500 and i have only 2 plants in my 4×4 with it and working amazing on them easy 10 oz plant I will get off my girls lst all the way more then doubles my flowers on each plant

Yo Mr. Grow thank you for putting this on. I am using this playlist to purchase my next lights. But this Viparspectra... i mean, who would recommend flowering even a 3x3, with average PPFD (not necesarily PAR) of 390 umol/m2??? No way you're getting the right DLI with PPFD of 390 for 12 hr light cycle! So here's the proof folks. Hats off to Mr. Grow It!

You need 2 for 3x3 for sure. Which isn't that bad for the price.

Way Better than the blurple series, & a step up from the par series, but I don’t understand why they keep sticking with 6500k spectrum ? I think viparspectra is more for peppers & veggies than for weed.

@Clone Ranger yeah I checked my notes & they said : use viparspectra par series for veg only in future, then flip with 3500k spectrum hlg for flower, the notes also had a picture of smiley face 😁

Can you please do a quick lumen reading in the future on every light? Then I'd know and other if my leds is real or a fake imitation chip sold as the real deal or try it and let me know here, Lm at 30cm away in the center I'm getting about 50,000lm

I'm almost 100% sure you don't measure leds with lumens that's for more measuring the sun, metal halides and other grow lights leds use ppf and ppfd which is why he does those tests for the leds he reviews, I'm not an expert but I research a lot and I'd recommend you measure your other leds by ppfd instead of getting every light measured to lumens

@@patdanahy69 are you dumb? PLANTS DON'T SEE and being par and lumens can be worked out from each, i really don't think you have any idea what your talking about! Take lumens x by 0.015 tahdah par... take par ÷ by 0.015 wow magically you have the lumens, kind of a dumb argument wouldn't you agree? Look up the spectrum usable to plants then look up light the human eye see, isn't that weird? Turns out the visible spectrum that humans see and is used by plants is the exact same colours, there isn't ALTERNATIVE colours from a parallel universe!, as well don't know if you know this but the latest leds are NOW WHITE par is good for certain colours! Ofcourse someone uneducated might think par is different, do so research IT AIN'T!

And I have it at 18 inch from my canopy 20 is little to far and more airy buds u will get hard as a rock nugs at 18 to 16 inch from canopy

You need cold air coming in and in summer run lights at night , did you have another heat source like a hps in the same room? or is your extractor not fast enough to take heat away

LEDs and HIDS are not the same. There is no exact wattage required for LEDs per square meter. Anyone who says otherwise is selling you something.

@@donethos maybe true but LED hasn't evolved enough at this point that my statement doesn't hold true. You can spread those leds on a larger surface but the ppfd will drop dramatically. I stand by my statement that 400 watts of led are perfect for a 3x3. I also believe 500 for a 4x4 and around 600 for a 5x5 are ideal
