Soooo brilliant and useful that you showed maps for different heights! I don’t grow weeed but houseplants and to my amazement noone in this niche uses proper lights! When watching reviews of commercial grow lights they are always tested in tents, but at home houseplant growers rarely use tents! We grow on shelves and so need non quare coverage area and much lower distance to canopy. 14 inches or even less is ideal for me to grow on shelving unit.

These XS2000 Viparspectra grow lights are ok but for the money you'd be better off buying the Mars Hydro FC-3000 for a 2×2 or 3+3 grow tent. The Mars hydro tested At a 12 inches in a 3×3 a PPFD of 1,400+ to the middle and a PPFD of 594 in the corners. More bang for your dollar. The FC-E3000 is a great choice as well

Would the xs2000 fit in a 2x2
@DMP29233 жыл бұрын
So Viparspectra says a XS2000 covers a 2x4 but if you want good enough light for flower you need to have two lights. If the light can fit in a 2x2 how is it suppose to flower out a 2x4?? So they are just advertising veg lights and have to double it for flower? On top of having horrible customer service
@Highigan3 жыл бұрын
If you want even coverage I would recommend 2 for a 2x4, One does a pretty good job at covering almost the entire tent only falling below 500 par in the corners at 18in and 100% If you shuffled your plants around that would help with yield with one light, but if your running scrog and cannot move them 2 lights would yield more. Otherwise just get a xs4000 one light would cover the entire tent.
@timpage50213 жыл бұрын
Not everyone is growing cannabis in thier indoor gardens. Not all plants need as much PAR as cannibis either for flower development. So when they advertise the flower coverage its not necessarily cannabis. The XS2000 will absolutely flower a 2×4 of orchids or certain vegetables and most of the spacefor cannibis. And if you really wanna get technical the XS4000 is the BEST value to blow the doors off a,2×4. At its price point less than a dollar per watt . It better anyway to run the light a reduced capacity tyen at full tilt. Running it At 260 watts the XS4000 is produces enough ppfd to flower a full 2×4 of cannabis and increases the lifespan of chips and drivers also less heat. It's also more flexible as for when you do have the environmental dialed in clutch you can give the plants a extra boost cuz you still got about 200 watts of power left. I ran a few runs with it in a 2×4 and 3×5s. I had my best GPW using LEDs in a 3×5 15 sq feet with it which is just shy of 1 square foot of its recommended flower coverage 4×4 16sq feet. I assure you there are hundreds of Flower and vegetable types that will grow to full potential in say a 2×4 with the XS2000 or better yet a 4×4 with the XS4000. And yes while many Chinese made grow lights have horrible customer service Viparspectra isn't 1 of them. They are the 1st to offer a full year local US based warranty at 6 different locations. They answer any questions anyone has both at US warranty centers and thier Facebook pages. Viparspectra been a top selling brand for over 12 years for a reason.

If you have an XS1000 or P1000 in a 2x4 you would definitely want 2 at least for more coverage and even par across your canopy. 3 would be ideal if you want most even coverage for an entire 2x4.
