For the longest time, I thought the announcer was just being a homer when he said "South Carolina deserves to have it," but now that people are including the context of the play before in all these compilations, I understand. That was a horrible call, and I'm a Clemson fan.

I still remember what I did after the Auburn Kick Six. I started to scream yes, I ran up the stairs in the living room, through the hallway, down the stairs near the office, ran into the kitchen, and ran that exact route in a loop over and over again screaming yes all the way. Me and my dad then ended up bumping chest. It's one of my favorite moments growing up

@@skiyee7 Nebraska couldn’t even handle Illinois at home with a 5* quarterback, and that’s who you think is good? Just because the high powered Sanders/Hunter connection only managed 10 points and the ironman CB let the Huskers score 28 doesn’t mean Nebraska is good. It just means Colorado is even more trash than we thought, and will continue to be trash until they hire a real coach and recruit a real quarterback that’s not a nepo baby.

@@hughjanus2 That’s because we’re all tired of the Colorado/Sanders/Hunter dick riding when they barely managed 4 wins last year and their best win so far this year is a 2nd half comeback against an FCS school. Any analyst that calls a single player on that team elite is only saying it to get ratings. The proof is in the results anytime they play a team expected to go over .500.

To be a first down, the tip of the ball must at least reach to the first down marker (the black pole attached to the chain). it was clearly a few inches short, the coaches were shocked the referee signaled a first down.

@@reacher22.and.ryan23 At 413 you can see the ball on the ground, and the one referee is holding and placing a black pole with an big orange thing on it so the players can see it easily. The chain is 10 yards long, there is another pole to the left we can't see. He stretches the chain taunt, and places the pole vertically. The front part of the ball MUST reach that pole. it does not, it is not a first down as it's a few inches short. It should never have been ruled a first down, the internet went WILD with "what was he thinking"? Worst call I've ever seen made, and I'm not a fan of either of those teams.
@Po1nter2 ай бұрын
@@reacher22.and.ryan23the tip of the ball needs to be past the orange thing for the ref to signal a first down. It was not past the orange but the ref still gave them a first down. This means they get to keep the ball instead of it going to the other team like it should, thus the angry shouting and pointing by the team that got cheated.
@conorfarmer1592 ай бұрын
@@reacher22.and.ryan23 Each time a team gains possession of the ball, their offensive unit comes out. The offense has 4 tries to get the ball 10 yards closer to the scoring zone. If the offense does not make it after their 4th try, the other team gets the ball. To keep track of where that threshold is, the officials use two orange sticks with a 10 yard chain attaching the two. Michigan's team was on their 4th try, A.K.A. 4th down. The ball was spotted, placed, on the ground, and the measuring sticks were brought out. The ball was clearly behind the measuring stick, which means the try was unsuccessful, and South Carolina would get the ball. The official, however, said the ball was past the point, giving Michigan the first down. The players were pointing to indicate they clearly saw the ball short of the first down.
