Estee Lauder Double Wear is an absolutely stunning foundation and I have found that people who say it is "crusty, dusty" looking on their skin put it on wrong. If you put too much of any full coverage foundation on it it is going to look thick and nasty.......any brand. I can get full coverage AND medium coverage out of this beautiful foundation and it's all about the application.

The application method definitely has to match the product! For me, Double Wear looks best with a damp sponge while working quickly in small sections. It looks better after it sets and lasts all day.

I have to say, I absolutely *love* the Dior blush in the pink and it does not swatch well. It's literally the only blush I wear now. Definitely wait for the sephora sale. Also, now I have to try the milk hydrogrip spray

yes, the Fenty lip tint is worth it to me because it lasts a really long time and has amazing pigmentation, I have literally repurchased the lip tint in the same color 2 times in a year because I ran out of it because I used it almost every single day on its own or as base layer for lipstick because I have really pale lips and even when I have really dry lips and most other lipsticks want to look horrible on me it still performs really well.

Honestly for the setting sprays I think you should buy both in travel sizes and see which one you prefer. I haven’t tried the one size on but I have been using the CT one for years and it’s beautiful. It definitely doesn’t smell like alcohol and isn’t drying. I feel like the finish is natural and borderline dewy. I have normal to dry skin and I loveeee it. The Estée Lauderdale is definitely a foundation that is normal/dry skin friendly if you just moisturize enough and use a setting spray vs setting powder on the face. I also have used that for years and it’s always worked well 🙂

If you want a hydrating lip stain, I love the Uoma Beauty “it’s complicated” lip tint + oil + gloss. I got mine at Ross for only 3 bucks. The formula goes on looking like a lightweight gel-style gloss but the bottom layer will dry down on your lips and stain them. After some hours it’s not emollient anymore, but it’s still shiny and my lips won’t feel dry at all. They have really pretty, flattering shades in the line too

The etude water lip stain from Amazon is really nice. I have super dry lips and lip stains typically settle on the dry patches and make that more pigmented, and it appears my lips are bleeding.

I have to say, I love a good de-influencing video! That being said, the Dior rosy pink blush is ABSOLUTELY worth it to me. To be fair, it may swatch poorly but when applied is chef’s kiss 😘. Also I vote for the CT setting spray! I own it and the Milk one. Charlotte’s has a nice mist, does not dry my skin out & locks in my makeup. They offer it in a smaller size if you’d like to try it before you commit!! Xoxo😊❤

Hey vianney! You totally made some good points! I feel like as far as Wondering if these expensive products are "worth it..." no! They're never worth what they charge! They can charge that because they know people will buy it, and because you're paying for the brand name! So to me- something being worth the price (because it never is haha) is determined by 1. How much do I want it? And 2. How good is it? Because if it's not good, it's getting returned. So everybody's idea of "worth it" is different!

I purchased the small size of CT spray, and yes I liked it, but I also love UD & Milani Make it last Setting sprays, so I stick with them. I caved and purchased the Dior Lip Oil, and while I do love the large applicator, and the strawberry shade does tint the lips, I find it to be a bit drying on my lips when it vanishes, but I mainly got it for the experience lol!

The estee laider double wear you use a SMALL amount or it’ll look cakey. But a small amount goes so far and is all most people need. I make it a medium coverage and it’s beautiful!! And it goes matte on my dry skin without being crusty or accentuating dry patches, it’s so beautiful

I always use setting sprays and have used many, and the CT one is worth it. I went to Japan in summer which was hot, very humid and sweaty and the CT one kept my makeup on throughout the day. I haved used drugstore ones which don't work at all, as for other high end ones, only the Urban Decay and Too Faced makeup insurance were comparable, but the UD one has alcohol and is drying, and the Too Faced one smells very strong like most Too faced stuff. The CT one is the best imo, and not so heavy on scent.

The Charlotte Tilbury, setting spray is the only Charlotte Tilbury product I would repurchase and probably buy going forward. I’ve tried other products that I don’t feel worth the hype that is worth the hype. I have very dry skin and I can’t explain how pretty it makes your make up look when you spray it on.

I used to be die hard for DW but as I’m getting older I have found it more drying and I like a matte foundation. I love Dior forever matte foundation and YSL all hours these are now my faves but still have DW in my collection. I’ve always wanted to try the Dior lip oil but haven’t gone there yet! Foundation I will always splurge on and eyeshadow but finding a drugstore item that’s amazing is such a good feeling. I just love makeup 💄 xxx

I used the Estée Lauder double wear for years & loved it but I had to return it a couple of months ago because it settled into my pores & fine lines. It's great for oily skin but definitely not for dryer skin types. There's so many better options out there now. And I used it sparingly, mixed it in with my moisturiser .. I tried everything. CT Setting Spray is awesome! It makes my makeup stay all day for sure...Like glue! I believe the last Nordstrom Anniversary sale had it 2 for 1. Maybe look for a kit when the holiday sets are released? Definitely worth it! It does keep you face matte during the day - perfect for my oily skin. I returned the One Size because of the sprayer. It was too much and moved my makeup around! The aerosol actually made it feel like you were using hairspray to set your face. Hard pass.

I had the Dior lip oil recommended by a Sephora employee and I was so skeptical spending that much on a lip product. I’m so cheap. I had a gift card for my birthday. But. I used up that entire thing, milking every last drop and I still miss it and love it. It’s luxurious and I would use it every night and on the go. It’s so nourishing, comfortable and looked amazing. Did I love it? Absolutely. Can I bring myself to spend that money again? Unfortunately no. 😢

I don’t find the CT setting spray to be drying. I have oily skin and sometimes I feel like it’s too shiny for me 😂 but it still holds my makeup together. The OS is definitely a lot more drying though, so maybe CT would work better for your skin.

I have tried both the O/S and CT setting sprays and the CT does not smell like alcohol at all and is more hydrating than O/S! I'm very sensitive to alcohol and can't use Asian sunscreens with alcohol because it sets off my asthma, even though I enjoy the formulas.

I DID NOT want to spend the money on the Fenty lip stain but I loved that sunset packaging and needed one for my sons baptism since I knew I’d have to time to look at a mirror or touch anything up. I honestly LOVE the Fenty lip stain and it lasted on me all day. I want them to come out with more colors that aren’t so similar because I’ll definitely be buying them! I recommend it but I also haven’t tried a ton of different brand lip stains so I don’t even know what I’d compare it to 😂

The only product I'll buy from Charlotte Tilbury is her setting spray. I also have dry skin but I love it!! It's worth it and no it doesn't smell like alcohol in my opinion. I would go for it try the mini size and that way you'll know if you like it. It melts your into place nicely

The Charlotte setting spray isn’t drying and has a light scent, doesn’t smell like alcohol to me. It’s the perfect spray for a soft focus finish. I haven’t tried Patrick Starr but I’ve seen people say it’s like hairspray lol. Dior lip oil lasts so long on the lips for a gloss. I love it.

The bronzing drops are best when mixed with your foundation. If you put them on your face first, you’re right, there’s no point, but mixed with your foundations it creates a wonderful formula. I use a cheaper bronzing drops, as DE is too expensive for what it is

I can attest to the benefits of CT setting spray. I don’t buy anything from CT or go for the hype but I bought her smaller size spray to try it and I love it. Have dry skin but it sets makeup so nicely and looks beautiful all day. I would recommend you trying it. The PS spray is too drying for me and it makes my face feel stiff. It might be good for severe humidity or a beach day. This video should have been called Influence me. Lol.

I think these high end brands are definitely an experience for me that drugstore doesn’t do. Except for the Maybelline fit me foundation I think looks high end. I usually go for colours I can’t find in drugstores and also my clutch bag I like to have beautiful high end touch up products. I always wait for a sale though, I never pay regular price. At least 20% off or usually the direct websites usually do 30% off. Lancôme does 35% a few times a year plus gifts with purchase too even if there is a sale. Sephora usually doesn’t do gifts or good samples during their sales

For most of my life I didnt have a lot of money so I only purchased pharmacy/drustore makeup, but since I have retired I have a bit more money to spend. I have tried a lot of dupes over the years some are good i still use a few drugstore products but when I have purchsed the highend and I don't mean ridiculously high end, products there is no comparison. My husband has the Confucius saying.....pay too much cry once....pay too little cry all the time which is certainly true of some products. Plus I'm in Australia and we don't have as much choice drugstore or highend.

Let me preface by saying I’ve never tried either setting sprays.. However.. I would get the o/s first personally. You can always add a more adorable glow or hydrating spray on top but water proof 😮 that’s unique. 🤷🏻‍♀️

GURLLLLL PLEASE hear me -Virgo to Virgo - that the Charlotte Tillbury setting spray is nothing but high priced water!!!! I got influenced by a mua online so I put my full $51 trust in her & bought the 'jumbo' size ((which is actually a btr deal)) but it did absolutely nothing. I have used Coola (whicb imo was the BEST but is now discontinued), Urban Decay, Laura Mercier, LYS - all the way down to Milani & Elf - and this one did nothing. Even with the lower priced brands-I can at least find a purpose for them but CT??? Nada, zero, nothing. I didn't notice a difference in the longevity of my makeup, didn't notice it melting the powders into my skin, didn't change the finish.... there is literally nothing good I can say tbh. Clearly I gotta use it somehow because... hello - I spent $51 so I usually use it as a priming spray. The only disagreement I will say is that for my skin, it isn't drying nor did it smell like alcohol to me. I guess it all depends what you're looking for. Anywho-I was unimpressed and de-influenced 👎 Love ya girly ❤
