I served VN 1968/69. Our son wanted to serve too. He got all A's through school and college. He applied to the Navy for a scholarship for medical school and was accept. Attended medical school and have the Navy pay his way was really nice. He had five years payback which he did as a Navy Flight Surgeon. Had a nine-month deployment to the middle east. Paid the Navy back and then on to three years as a ER resident. Finely a full-time job as a Board-Certified ER Doctor. He is and always has been a Devot Christain. He told me that every time he goes to work, he gets on his knees and prays the Lord will guide him. In high school he had the thrid highest batting average for his school's conference.

I work with guys in a very confined space and have to listen to how great their son's and daughters are. Not just great, but Unbelievably great. Dr's, lawyers, athletes. The most impressed I have ever been is of one guys son that was struggling and was climbing his way to be the best he could be. No bragging there. Just a kid doing his best. I'm sure your son is a good guy, but his resume here isn't the point.

Champion being a radical tongue takler in the Fire station the guys called me "Artie Artie the one man party" because they kept hearing me speak to myself in tongues and laughing. I been preaching about what you did in your days in Alabama champion game speaking in tongues before every pass. and that is FIRE.. Speaking ing tongues has always been my secret to playing basketball and I am not that good, but when I say Holy Spirit do you want to play basketbal and start speaking in tonguesl. I start to look amazing. HE HE HE. But you rip it up on a new level, champion. God is amazing in you champion. Blessings I am praying in tongues for you and your areas bold as a Lion and HE is ROARING OUT OF YOU.

Curious as to how the press responded to his admission that he speaks in tongues - don't hear that every day and I bet quite a few said to themselves - "did he say tongues, what did he mean by that?"

The gift of speaking in tongues is a spiritual gift. It means speaking with words or in a language one doesn’t know in order to edify both oneself and others. Jesus foretold of speaking in tongues: “And these signs will follow those who believe… they will speak with new tongues.” Mark 16:17. The first time anybody spoke in tongues was on the day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit was poured out on the apostles, as related in Acts 2:1-12. The apostles spoke the gospel to the crowds in Jerusalem, and what they said could be understood by people speaking many different languages: “… we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.” Acts 2:11.
