Bills fan here, they are definitely impressive! This is also a great reason head coaches should be offensive minds instead of defensive, like our Bills. Nothing personal against our head coach but if a team with a defensive head coach does get a great offensive coordinator, they won’t have him long because some other team will make him a head coach! Hence we lost ours and now seem to struggle.

McDaniels is just as good as Shanahan. In a decade, I wonder who will have more rings, Shanahan, McVay, McDaniels, Saleh, or Ryans.

Devon Achane & Raheem Mostert had 8 total td's, another headache for the defense to worry about.

As much as I enjoy watching McDaniel scheme with his speedy offense, I think that if he wants to take the next step forward, he needs to address two factors: stamina, and space. This team is fast, no question about it, but all the running consumes stamina, and even guys like Tyreek Hill or Raheem Mostert will get tired eventually. A team that can afford to give up points will simply wait till fatigue kicks in, and then retake the lead from there. That is also assuming the Dolphins defense are not winded as well when the other team burns the clock and pile on the fatigue with more defensive snaps. Whoever is in charge of strength and conditioning for the Dolphins has his work cut out for him. Another issue with such a speedy offense is that players need a lot of space to run around defenders or get to the spot on time. This is especially true if players need to make a sudden change in direction, simple physics in play. Narrow spaces or running lanes make turning difficult, and even worse, the risk of injury is higher, given the wear and tear all the running takes on the players. If the Dolphins want to be serious contenders, they need to address these factors, and (ahem) fast.

I like McDaniel. If more Coaches would view football like a chess game, they'd be a lot more successful. If Coaches aren't adjusting & making changes as the game goes along, they're going to be left behind. Would love to see a QB like Josh Dobbs who is an Aero Space Engineer (Rocket Scientist) hook up with someone like McDaniel. Whew.... perfect launches & rockets! ;)

I honestly think that’s why he wanted Vic Fangio on his team so he can pick Vic’s wonderful defensive mind so he (Mike) can come up with new creative ideas on how to burn defense’s 🤔✊🏾🐬

Great videos as always! Simms was raving about how impressed he was watching the Miami tape this week. Dumb Question: why wouldn’t Defenses have a linebacker/third safety act as a QB Spy in the middle of the field, at about 10 yards out? That player can be rotated to disguise the coverage and it would clog the area Miami wants to attack. A defense can’t stop everything but I’d prefer all that Miami speed on offense to be limited to one side in flat in order to contain and have Tua throw to the sideline over the middle of the field. I’m thinking Chargers and teams know an idea of what Miami generally wants to do, if if it’s disguised differently.

Thanks Harrison. It's a good question, however if that guy isn't filling in the run game that's a problem, plus a static body that deep will only take away one window, not all of them

So my question is the following: When the chargers played the dolphins in 2022, why didn't McDaniels adjust mid game? If their bread and butter was shut down, why didn't he switch to stuff that compliments it like maybe more outbreaking routes for tyreek?
@AlexRollinsNFL

He had some out breaking stuff that Tua wasn't really willing to throw. Tua definitely has his limitations as well, it's incredible how good McDaniel schemes this offense for him

This offense is just a joy to watch with a healthy Tua. Mike McDaniel is the next great innovative coach, shades of Kyle Shanahan. Tyreek Hill has a legit shot at 2k yards and Tua 5k passing yards.
