I will forever use the Paula's choice 2% BHA. I used to use it every day, but I found that was a little over exfoliating. Lol. So I use it now about twice a week at night time. It's a little sticky and makes my skin really tight, so I let it work for me while I sleep. And I never use a pad to apply it. I just put it right into palms and rub it in. My favorite skin care product of all time. Lol 👍😊❤

Ok, an easy way I apply liquid toners without cotton pads is to cup my left hand a bit and put the desired amount of toner into my cupped hand. Then taking a couple fingers from my right hand I dip them into the toner then apply it to my face that way. Now I dip my fingers a few times to adequately cover my face and neck but this method definitely takes the mess out of applying toner! Any extra on my hands I just rub into them. Thought this might help some people 😊 Also, my skin thanks you for your videos! I get compliments all the time now about how great my skin looks. I use to have to worst skin as a teen, leaving me with hyperpigmentation and acne scars. But doing my homework, sunscreen and watch your videos really helped me learn my skin, and products to help with my skin concerns. So again, thank you! Stay well ❤️

LOL I've used that thank you farmer sunscreen and it is unbelievably greasy and shiny and I have combo oily/ dry skin. That PC BHA is fantastic and literally the best skincare product I've ever used. I've stopped using it with cotton pads and use it with just adding on to my hands and I find it works just as good and saves more of the product and of course more environmentally friendly.

I remember back when you were talking about the Glow Recipe line. There was one thing you didn't care for. I think it was the one with the green colored liquid. Hey James I would love to see a video about a good skin detox routine. I looked for one before and haven't a reputable video. I'm a wildland firefighter with acne prone skin and man does that smoke, ash, mud, sweat and dirt settle in. I can't exactly do a full skin routine since I don't have access to a sink or anything (literally just one cleanser, moisturizer and a mister bottle). I would do it when I get back from an assignment. I just need something to deep clean my face after going through the ringer like that.

I feel like la Roche posay had a moment but for the wrong products. The lipikar moisturiser is rich and balmy and is perfect for winter skin or anyone with eczema or really irritated skin. It really is balmy, so you only need a little and it will work magic overnight (not magic but probably soothing and moisturising!). Also the pyunkang yul essence toner is iconic for a reason - I have crazy dry skin and it just takes the edge off without relying on those super heavy moisturisers. I can follow up with a light moisturiser or sunscreen without feeling like I’m missing something

@@jojomarch agreed and granted, the founder did say on her IG page that the reason they changed was bc with holidays coming, the advent calendar and I guess BF, the old website was again not gonna support the amount of ppl and would have been diff for employees + they needed a standard (i.e. Identical to Lookfantastic website) to make sure everything was ready before the calendar went on sale 😕 hopefully they can tweak it, I have not ordered anything since the change bc every time I log on I am put off by the cheap look and I buy from somewhere else 😅

I ordered that Thank You Farmer Water Sun Cream pretty much immediately after I watched this because (please don’t judge me for this) I haven’t been using SPF like… at all. 😬 And though I can’t read the ingredients because it’s all in another language but I really like this product. At first it seems kinda greasy but it sinks into the skin very quickly and leaves a nice neutral sheen that is neither matte nor dewy. I will definitely be buying this again.

@@moongloss9243 Sorry, late reply. For me it looked natural, like slightly dewy, but natural (I'm asian and have sort of light-medium tone skin). That said, it only looked natural after it dried down properly (30mins?), before that I just looked greasy and I'd use powder if I had to go out immediately or was reapplying. It never made me look like a ghost though, at least in my opinion.

James, If you could recommend one product for a 59 year old with dry wrinkled skin and that is snagging(not bad) on one side from what appears to been a stroke but wasn't, and that's affordable in the US, what would it be? Actually maybe a couple different ones because so much skincare has olive oils or derivatives of them like squalene or half dozen others in it so I'd need options. I believe u gave your opinion n I respect that but........I have used cucumber as well as ice n both of them r absolutely ok!! I have seen your video on ice facial. N both of us r correct. For cucumber, we use normal ones, not put in freezer or fridge. We generally take a slice n rub it on your face or put it on our eyes while we apply some pack on our face. But make sure they r fresh, not the bitter ones n better if home grown or organic so that there r no pesticides or insecticides. I use it for a soothing temporary experience, not for magical results. For ice, it's just for a short temporary pick me up. Helpful in hot n humid climate, reduces oil secretion for sometime (generally couple of hours for me but may vary from person to person). N it was not daily or continuosly like if our face felt too cold, we took a pause. It should not b numbing or torture. Take a few seconds break if required. We generally did it before applying makeup (on oily skin) which just slightly dried out the skin without making it too dry. But I don't think it's suitable for a cold climate. So, just b careful. Advising such a famous influencer 🤪🤪🤪🤪......that too with such a glowing skin..... someone save me from the hate comments 😒😒😒

I think this might be the first Shiseido product I’ve heard you talk about. I would be interested to hear you talk about some of their other stuff. They are super expensive but seem interesting. I got a sample of their Benefiance Wrinkle Resisting Contour serum and am kind of upset it seems to work well for my skin because it is Pricy~~~~ it doesn’t have anything special seeming in it but works better than similar ones I’ve tried. 😭

My lips felt a bit dry the first 2 days after using it and after that some magic happened and my lips were always very hydrated and soft. I use it only in the winter though, it's too much for the summer, in my opinion.

I enjoy the lip sleeping mask too, but I usually forget to actually apply it at night. I do think about it as a prep step before makeup. But my all time favorite for very dry crap lips is the summer Fridays lip butter balm. Its so good.
