I love these videos, it makes influencers feel more real. One product I've tried that alot of people loved is the este lauder doubt wear foundation. I have very dry skin and it clumped and pealed on my face. I tried it with two different powders and primers and moisturizers under it and no mater what I did I got the same result. I will be sticking with my ilmakiage foundation from now on

Laura, I just have to comment on your the quality of your videos. The sound quality is the best of all the people I wath, and I'm retired, so I watch a LOT of KZbin!! Of course the lighting, background and picture quality are just perfection in my book. As for a product that did NOT work for me, it has to be the newest foundation from Shiseido. People were reaving about it, and the first time I tried it I had to wash it off!!

Larger Evian water sprays can be found at Marshall’s or TJ Max for $7. I use it before I apply lotion and moisturizers to lock in more hydration. I also love to carry it with me on beach trips and cruise vacations.

I like that you give honest reviews! I did not like the NYX bare with me blur tint soft matte foundation. It just didn't sit well on my skin. It was too matte on me. I also had difficulty finding a good shade. But I do like the bare with me hydrating face and body concealer serum.

For the oily girls: I use Danessa Myricks blurring balm powder in shade Translucent/Universal as a primer specifically in my t-zone. I get super oily regularly but when I use it as a primer… game changer!! Foundation lasts all day and I do not have to touch up. I will never not use this product!!

Agreed! This product was a game changer for my oily skin too. It really does make a difference! Some days I wear it I still need to touch up a bit but it’s not nearly as much as when I don’t use it. I get oily as hell literally an hour or less after I powder my face, I’m very very oily.

Loved the video Laura! As always super informative and honest ❤ the product that didn’t work for me unfortunately was the Makeup Forever oily skin primer. I have extremely oily skin and this made my skin beautiful Mayte but when I tried to layer foundation, powder concealer or really anything over it would just be super blotchy. I tried using barely any and a couple different recommendations and nothing worked. Now I use smash box primer for oily skin and I’m in love!

Laura is queen! Love her! I have had a love/hate relationship with primers. One that I had loved ended up not working after I had been using it for a while, it was the Benefit Porefessinal. I have been using Stila One Step Correct Brightening and Correcting Primer. It's been 4 years and it's my ride or die primer. My face is always flawless with it. Smooth and pores shrunk. ✌️

Love this vid! Raw beauty Kristi had a good one too. I like the Avene spray water instead of Evian, esp for use w/ skin care In between steps to keep my skin hydrated & also when my skin is dry/cracked, inflamed, peeling, itchy & irritated etc. - the Avene one has unique supposedly skin soothing microbes & minerals from the spring the water it is derived from- and a lot of ppl w/ rosacea & eczema find it helps the irritation and even an itchy scalp… Otherwise, a continuous spray bottle from Amazon and some water will do the same thing if U like it for utilitarian uses. But the Avene products are all nice.

The Physician's Formula regular blushes are a much better quality than those with an overspray, but most blushes with an overspray are the same. I struggled with the ELF eye brightener concealer, it did nothing for me and the pen ran out quickly. The YSL and Neutrogena versions are higher quality, although they are both at a higher pricepoint.

The one product that DOES NOT work for me, that everyone raves about is the ABH Brow Freeze. I don’t know if I’m just not using it right, or my hairs are just too bushy. But they immediately fall as soon as I apply it. I don’t even like how it looks, however my brows are super patchy due to overplucking. But it just does not keep my brow hairs in place and it won’t even let me fill in my brows before or after cause it acts like a barrier to the pencil.

with the brow freeze, i usually use the nyx brow pen and then take a really small amount of the ABH and brush it through after and it works for me like that!

I live in Florida and the Evian would be nice for those hot summer days at a car show or outdoor concert but you could also just carry a spray bottle with a fan. I haven't been able to get into the Fenty powder foundation. It makes my skin too dry to use it all over but as a light setting powder it's okay.

Product that didn’t work for me is the Maybelinne Instant Rewind concealer. It dried out my mature under eyes so much 🤢. Also the Revolution sponge tip highlighters in bright pink. Those suckers dry down so fast! You HAVE to put it on the back of your hand and use a damp sponge to apply it very lightly and quickly. So, I don’t see the point of having that sponge tip if you can’t apply it directly to the skin anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️

Girrrrrl the new nyx blur foundation was a no noooooo, I love luminous dewy foundations and that is soooo matte I just didn’t like the way it felt on MY skin. Idk maybe if a tried a more dewy moisturizer it might work… but just too matte. You should try it out babe!!!

dr dray is a dermatologist on youtube who has a video on retinol :) you have to start off slower (1-2x/wk) and build up over time bc ur skin can be sensitive. apply at night and be sure to wear spf during day! the ordinary sells the best one value/effective wise

My product that didn’t work for me, and others really love, is Milk eye primer. I ended up with red, angry, peeling and rough patches. No other eye primer has ever done that. I think it’s great other people love it, I’m sticking with Tatcha and Vasanti. 💗 I love the idea of adding our regrets to the list.
