Thanks for being in the video man. It was a great learning experience for the rest of us :)
@thecakeredux3 жыл бұрын
I think a not insignificant part of your insecurity and hesitation in this game came from teammate unexpectedly overcommitting and regularly not recovering fast enough. Also explains turning back all the way. I play like that when I'm with someone who passes later than expected (so I have to slow down or move out) or takes offensive 50's (so you have to give space to cover the pinch-outs) a lot. I'm very awkward with people like that, too.
@hazy11593 жыл бұрын
@@thecakeredux you nailed it. Our styles didn’t mesh well and I felt uncomfortable with his play style. No disrespect to him as he is obviously a great player. We just have different ways of playing the game.
@thecakeredux3 жыл бұрын
@@hazy1159 Yeah, I meant no disrespect to him either, I just recognized that your style perfectly matches mine. I saw the same lines you saw and expected the same decisions from mate and opponents that you did. It's funny actually, people like him paired with people like him seem to work great, but people like us paired with them is very awkward, even though both styles seem legit. I mean, I have my opinions on what is more legit, but one can't argue with mmr.

Virge, great video! At 13:00 when you are talking about ballside rotation. I'm glad that you pointed that out that he should've cut across midfield to start a back post rotation because I would've rotated exactly the way that he did. In my mind it is so that I am not cutting in front of my teammate and possibly bumping him as he proceeds for the challenge. That was my thought on that play, but what you said definitely made sense. I'm D2/3 in 2s, so yeah, I'm garbage.

14:20 "there it is with that hesitation. wiggling is your worst enemy in rocket league." The one quote that just hits home. Im new to the game been playing for about a month im in Diamond 1 in 2s and just comitting to a play has gotten me this far. if i miss im gonna miss trying 100% for that play i see. (while also minding position and shot/threat potental) but still, if your gonna do it, just do it. thanks for the videos and looking to see more.

I am extremely confused In 1s and 3s I got placed around G2 and P1 but I am diamond in duos. I feel like I am playing too passive and are soft throwing, and yet I get told I play extremely well for diamond 1 by my higher ranks (they probably don't know what diamond looks like). I know I should fall back down to plat-gold, but I would love some guidance so I can stay and possible climb the diamond ladder
