Tbh, it’s cool to see the whole set together like this especially since it was Virgil’s last hoorah. But imo the 50 lots are just not something mind blowing that you see and say wow! Virgil to me has always been overrated. I think the best shoes he’s done were the 1s, some of the forces and the sail 4s. Everything else including these dunks is just meh, nothing groundbreaking, just overrated hype.

I don't think so, the beauty is in the detail than more so throwing in a bunch of different colors. It's s like when they display jordan pantone's. Just dope to see. I don't think Virgil was overrated what he did was reinvent original and new colorways, was very consistent and also impacted other parts of the fashion world.

@@akiapruitt What detail? He didn’t do anything new. He was known for taking other peoples designs in the first place. Putting holes, hang tags, and overlapping laces on sneakers isn’t reinventing anything. He didn’t take silhouettes and give them a different purpose and functionality. His aesthetic is deconstructing silhouettes which was done way before Virgil by guys like Mason Margiela and Chitose Abe who created Sacai. To me that’s not innovative. He took already established silhouettes, deconstructed them and added pointless things like the over lace and hangtag. Also just look at the shoes he released with LV. Like the LV trainer, he stole the design of the Puma Slipstreams and just flipped a couple things. He was heavily influenced by 80s basketball and completely ripped off iconic sneakers. He’s overrated af.
