Virgin Atlantic 747 Farewell/Retirement Event (G-VROY)

Join me as I tour the Virgin Atlantic hangar, experiencing the Virgin Atlantic 747-400 for the final time. G-VROY is the last one standing, and is due to exit the fleet next Thursday, for a new life in the states. Only 42 tickets were sold for this fantastic event, with over 90,000 people on the Eventbrite website on Monday @ 09:00 when the tickets went live. There were three slots today, with the first at 08:30-11:30, the second over lunch and one last session in the afternoon - 14 people per experience.

I’ve just stumbled across this video on KZbin... Liam, I was one of the pilots you met on the day, it was great to meet both yourself and Alysha and I really hope everyone involved helped to make it a special day for the both of you, one you’ll never forget. It was lovely to meet two people so enthusiastic about the Queen of the skies!! If you ever fly with Virgin in the future, please let me know and I’ll make sure you’re both well looked after! Thanks for sharing your tour. Excellent video. I didn’t try to book as I felt uncomfortable to join, even though I can see Virgin did a good job looking after you. The next best thing was following you around the hanger and onboard. I really like the toolbox !

So lucky, I tried to get tickets but it was impossible! I was lucky to be there for Landor - British Airways G-BNLY landing at Dunsfold though so I had my fair share ❤️✈️

For my information she will fly under N482MC for Atlas Air as an US soldier carrier. No wrecking on first step. It´s a wet leasing from GECAS with main contractor General Electric.
