Virgin Atlantic 787-900 Upper class Seat Tour and Experience \ September 2022

This is a seat tour and First time experience flying with Virgin Atlantic Upper Class.
We flew from Los Angeles to Heathrow in September of 2022.
We take a full seat tour of Seat 4A, the dinner menu, what the food looked like, the cool bar at the back of the upper class section and even the bathroom!

I've flown in their newer cabins, but never this setup (which we'll be doing in our upcoming trip). Admittedly, I'm not crazy about it. It looks awkward, cramped, like a downgrade to normal business class-esque seating, and a few other downsides. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt until I try it, but it feels like some aircraft designer thought making this unique look would set it apart from other airlines. I definitely did, but for all the wrong reasons... Thanks for the review, visuals, and testing. Really helpful :)

Hello! I agree with everything you said 😊When we first booked this flight we were meant to be on an A350 but they switched the aircraft. To be honest the A330 wasn’t our favorite configuration either. The seats are a bit narrow and we didn’t care for the seats facing away from the window. We did enjoy our flight though and hope you do as well! Hope you have a great trip, thanks so much for your comment!

Wow that plane looks super high Tech I just wanted to touch all those buttons. You guys were literally on the real star cruiser. I was booked in this class before covid hit, so I really excited to what it was like, I got lucky when I flew as the airline keep all the seats around me empty and on the next trip I might book this seats😀❤️

We’ve never flown Virgin before but it looks really nice 😊 and really like all the amenities. Our goals for the upcoming few years is to do as much traveling as we can plan and time allows.

Its super interesting to see how different airlines set up the different seating. It would be better to face the window I think. The Pajamas are a really nice touch. The bar area looked really cool to. One day we will fly upper class like you fancy lot haha xx

I’m not sure what they were thinking when they decided to face the seats away from the window. I thought the pajamas were pretty cool too. I’m sure our upper class days are limited haha! 💕

We have never flown first class yet. Maybe some day. Must be great for an 11 hour flight! Are the bathrooms bigger in 1st class? Do they have showers? Pool Table? Hot tub? Lol! What is a Teapig? Now I feel like a first class guru! Thanks for the tutorial Bob! Bummer about the wifi. Cool bar section in the back. Thanks for sharing! Great vlog!

They hide the hot tub and pool table for the people who fly first class round trip 🤣🤣. The bathroom actually was slightly bigger than the average airplane bathroom, you could actually move around and not feel like you’re in a closet! Teapig is a brand of tea, I had never heard of it before either! Thanks so much guys! First class Is definitely a luxury! It was nice while it lasted lol! 🥰

Virgin Upper Class is a business class product, not First. Virgin don't offer a First Class option.

Hi Friends! The seats look way better than economy. It is a bit odd to face the middle of the plane. I like looking out a window. Very cool to have the option of being able to watch a movie and see your flight path. Bummer about the WiFi. We were on a 4 hour flight once where the flight crew announced there was a problem and there would be no WiFi. That was a long ride. I can imagine how difficult that must have been. Nice experience overall though. ~Ali 🎀🏰💖

Hi Ali! We also thought it was odd the seats faced the center of the plane. Not sure what they were thinking on that one 🤣. Kiya was much more salty about the WiFi than we were. But yes, very nice experience overall! 🥰

Hi! I see that you travelled with three people. Do you think it is best to travel the way you did, 3 in a row along the left side windows? Or on the right side, with 2 on the windows and 1 in the middle...all facing each other? I'm trying to figure out which is best for being able to chat with each other. Thanks!!

Hello! We decided to choose seats on the left so that we would have a bit more privacy and each have a window, although the windows are hard to look out of with the seats facing inward. If being able to talk with your group is most important I would choose the right side though. There is a little buddy seat where the foot rest is though where someone can sit and visit for a while too when the air is smooth. Thanks so much for watching and have an awesome trip! 😀

We weren’t that crazy about it either to be honest. The 777 BA business class is much nicer in our opinion.
