Site 4. Where were you? The funny thing is that my friend and I go pretty often. Several times I've made plans to go somewhere, only to see that you'd just gone. Haha. Frozen Head was a great video. And we went the next weekend. It was crazy fun. It was during the Barkley Marathon!

Stayed up at MPP this time last year and it got below 20. Three of us spent a lot of time huddled around the fire. I pushed the limits of my 30 degree UQ - I added a homemade UQ from a down blanket and a UQP from an old hammock. That hike UP from the falls is deceptive!

20 years ago it was just a logging area with paint on the occasional tree…. Seeing all these cable crossings and markings I can’t believe how different it is now…

Our youth group is planning a trip there next week. Hesitant to go because of predicted cold temperatures

It’s a fun place. It can get very cold. Whatever the predicted temps, I would plan of 5 degrees cooler. Just make sure everyone brings the appropriate layers and y’all will have a great time!

I do occasionally suffer from “luxury envy” when we get into camp early and I’m setting up my Saran Wrap shelter while my buddies have their toasty free standing condos. 😀

Yes! Definitely a “pick your poison” scenario. Hoping I can get out next month to test a new UL setup. Worried that it’ll have been so long that I’m going to be too pampered to get comfortable.

It's been about 8 years since I've been there. It's a great hike no doubt. Beautiful country. Those are not blueberries...they are attached to a vine that was attached to the tree limb.

It’s so much more organized now. Definitely want to go back and hike through to the Lost Creek area. And good to know my plant identification continues to suck! 🤣
