Great! Where was the audio taken from? Hope you'll upload other VS live videos, since they're so hard to find...

+sicknick245 basically, I used 4 videos to make this clip, I'll put then in the same order as the first 4 video changes: 2002-04-05 - Metal Meltdown Festival - Convention Hall - Asbury Park, NJ, USA 2001-06-09 - Gods of Metal Festival - Monza, Italy 2002-05-18 - Jaxx Nightclub - Springfield, VA, USA 2004-06-19 - Tradate Iron Fest - Vareze - Milan, Italy Answering your question, the audio was taken from the Metal Meltdown festival in 2002, since it sounded better than the other 3 in my opinion. I was going to make this clip with the original audio from the CD, but I thought that every fan of Virgin Steele would prefer a live audio, even if it's not professionally capted, but you can feel how great they used to sound live back then.

+MateusCTR You're absolutely right, they USED to sound great. I guess we'll never know what happened to Defeis, but it's such a pity.

@@MateusCTR Thanks for the upload, much appreciated; Virgin Steele played Gods of Metal in 2002 though, not 2001, and I was there to shout my lungs out :)

@@sicknick245 According to my research, Defeis won a battle with throat cancer around 2005. He sounds great in 2004, so they had to cancel some shows in early 2005 in order for Defeis to undergo treatment. After that they played a few more big shows, then cut their tours and shortened their setlists. With each live recording from 2007 onwards, he has his new vocal style as he burned through his mids. He can only sing too loudly or too softly. I couldn't find any recordings from 2005 and 2006 to pinpoint exactly when her vocal change took place. Hugs.
