300 is just a film took from a comic with a strong and hidden americanist propaganda. What we are watching are just muscled models in a ridiculous uniform, not true warriors. Look at the eyes of these actor:, there's not difference between their eyes and the ones belonging to some stupid model of a brand of clothing, the eyes of a man who stands against the death are far away different: are not worried on how captiving and magnetic they appear. Virgin Steele deseves better, they are not Manowar. This is my thought, no offense, but I had to speak my mind. Virgin Steele are Tragic in splendor, not exibitionist.

300 is taken from the Battle of Thermopylae… Battle actually happened, and the elite 300 of Sparta were annihilated, but bought time for the greeks. They were later rebuilt and destroyed again by the 300 of Thebes, made entirely of gay couples…

why compare with Manowar? Musically, they are two different bands though they both have epic lyrics.

Agreed. It's always confused me why people compare Virgin Steele to Manowar (and seemingly berate Manowar for whatever reason). Both bands are fantastic. Virgin Steele even supported Manowar back in the early 80s with various tours. Both bands may fall into the 'power metal' genre but musically they shouldn't be compared.
