I can't give Gunbae the best food title. We've eaten there at least 3 times on our 2 cruises, and the last time we had an amazing server, but the food was disappointing. Our favorite food is the marinated beef. Last time, it was all fat. There was almost no beef in the strips. After one bite, each person at the table rejected it. On our first trip, we did the restaurant favorites--way too much food, but we learned what we liked. After that, we'd just order our favorites, so when that was a disappointment, it sort of killed the meal. We've eaten Korean BBQ at multiple locations in Japan, so we were not new to the concept. Favorite restaurant on first cruise--Pink Agave with Extra Virgin a close second. On our most recent cruise, the food at The Wake was excellent but the service was VERY slow (we sat for 45 minutes before someone took our order, meanwhile there were managers standing around doing nothing.). Total dinner time was 2 1/2 hours! Our overall fav this time was Razzle Dazzle, although we did order off the naughty and secret menus. Great service each time, and great food quality. The secret steak in RD was the best beef we had on the cruise.

Oh no, we hate hearing your food was not good but we appreciate your honesty. Did they offer to cook a new set of beef? Pink Agave and Extra Virgin were both amazing. Michael's favorite food wise was Pink Agave. The Wake is also great but that's crazy you had to wait so long. We did spend a lot of time at dinner really enjoying the atmosphere and food. I'd say we were at the restaurants for 1.5 - 2 hours for each one. Everyone keeps talking about the Razzle Dazzle steak diner. We will definitely be checking it out in February for Dinner. We didn't enjoy it for lunch but going to try some different items next time. Thank you for sharing your experience!

Yes, one of the guys didn't want to participate so they gave him water. It was actually a lot of fun even if you don't drink.

i was thinking of going here on the 2nd night of our 5 night cruise, so maybe we can meet some other people :) but i dont eat fish or seafood and i notice in this video that they cook them all together, if my meat tasted fishy i could not eat it. also you mentioned about the sauces and said that one was a mushroom sauce, i also do not eat mushrooms, but i noticed that they just poured al of the sauces on the entire tray, as i mentioned in your video at test kitchen, i have a very sensitive tummy, can i have my meat cooked seperatley and no mushroom sauce for eg?? i know that everyone raves over the food on virgin, but the food onboard is really taking me out of my comfort zone, i like more of a home cooked/pub type food, so i am concerened that im going to be eating dessert in the galley 3 meals a day lol

You will definitely be able to meet and mingle with new friends here. Honestly, we met someone new at every restaurant and had such a wonderful time connecting with them. The meat didn't taste fishy at all. Is it an allergen or do you not like mushrooms? They will ask if there's any allergen or dietary needs and should be able to accommodate. We tried some things that we're a little different and it was great. Do you like Korean BBQ or have tried it? We have a friend who is not adventurous at all and loved a similar restaurant.

not allergic to fish/seadood or mushrooms, they just make me feel ill and im almost sick when i eat them, the same as melted cheese or garlic, i cant even look at melted cheese as it makes me feel ill as does the smell of garlic. no have never tried koreon bbq before or done anything similar, but it looks fun :) @@magicalkeysvacations
