@hokie4life757 As I've said before, they can only play the schedule before them. They can't force anyone to play them or anyone to put them in their conference. What they can do is beat people when they are challenged which is exactly what they have done. Sorry on the state thing, maybe "own backyard" is more appropriate...bottomline is u guys had around 88,000 Hokie fans in that stadium, that's around 94% of the capacity.

Boise will not be mentioned all season after The Hokies run for 300+ yards on them! Another ACC Championship and BCS game in the bag, and yes, we do have a weak schedule. But absolutely LOADED with running backs!

@757 At no time did I compare BSU to Bama. Bama goes 3 deep @ every position...recruitment/big budget etc. I used Bama to illustrate my point that schedule is not a good excuse. They had a tougher schedule than VT last year and went undefeated. In College, all ur games count. Chalking up VT's loss to BSU b/c they had other tough teams to plan for is bogus. Where should we draw the line? Should VT be denied a shot in a NC game b/c an SEC team went undefeated? ofc not. I think we need a playoff.

@hokie4life757 I won't agree on the schedule thing. Every game counts in College Football, how many 1 loss NC's have we had...not many. I think VT made the deal w/ BSU last year thinking BSU would be ranked ahead, making an easy stepping stone to a NC. They underestimated them and got spiked in their home state. I will, however, agree on the Bama/OSU comment. I think BSU is deserving of respect b/c of what they do w/ what they have...they are outfoxing great teams w/ a 1 star and 2 star roster

They win with mediocre Offenses and Excellent Defense and Special Teams. This year might be interesting with the amount of talent lost on Defenses, but I'm sure we'll be alright. This will be an awesome game.

@hokie4life757 BSU had a terrific win given the circumstances no ifs, ands, or buts about it. U have a terrific team and I think ur D will get better as the season progresses. But ur veteran O line got wtfpwnd by a defense that nobody seems to know about. I had this game pegged from the get go, im from Florida, I know all about Beamerball. This was gonna be a blood and guts game one way or the other. We were ready, I think ur team looked like it didn't know what to expect until it was too late.

Boise St. proves the consensus wrong again! Is there anything more American than that!? This game was one of the best I've ever seen but it doesn't erase the fact BSU just beat a major program again, this time a NC contender, with a roster of 1 and 2 star recruits. This is why we play on a field and not on paper people. Games aren't won on 40 times, stats, or conference reputations lol

@twistedfocus100 no offense, but you can't take the first game of the season to mean anything. if boise plays oregon OR virginia tech ten times out of ten in a row, they probably lose 8 to 9 of those games. plus, you didn't OWN oregon. i watched that game and both your teams were terrible. one could argue the ducks were better than you last year too given what they accomplished in a much tougher league.
