After this championship, Virginie unfortunally retired of artistic swimming. In fact, she had age to compete in the 2008 olympic games, in Beijing ( China ). In 2008 she was 29 But after her retirement, Virginie married, she had kids ( 2 ), ended her studies, became a great coach, she worked on TV sports, and even she did all this, her love for artistic swimming never ends Her younger son is a great artistic swimmer as well

Indeed! Always was a fan of her. I quit Synchronized/Artistic swimming in 2000 (I was 18). Ofcourse, I was never nearly as good as her. Always liked to watch her routines

She is sooooooo amazing! It's impossible for normal, ordinary human to do things such like THAT! I love her style, way of being, existing in water. I am a synchronized swimmer, but the level of her performance is just astonishing! I can't tell about my feelings (about this solo) in another way...

Esa rutina es increible pero yo me quedo con esta por muchas razones, esta rutina nos muestra como un movimiento puede llegar a ser sublime, parece que está suspendida, la estabilidad que tiene en el agua es sorprendente, sólo S. Frechette se le acerca. Además la selección musical es muy buena, Maria Callas es considerada la mejor soprano de la historia como ella en el nado sincronizado. Sus movimientos son sutiles, fuertes y apasionados como en el canto. El traje de baño sobrio y elegante

For all fo those people who are wondering about the noseclip thing.... The trick of NOT wearing a noseclip is to pout your lips up towards your nose, and your lips will cover your nostrills. Therefore, no water will go up your nose. Some people can do it, some can't. Oviously, in this case she can.

Desde mi muy humilde opinión, Esta es la mejor rutina de solo enla historia del nado sincronizado. Eso es saber retirarse dignamente, en la cima. Creo que por mucho es la mejor exponente de este deporte en toda la historia.
