Liam would not have sold Knebworth out on the strength of his solo songs. He sold them out because he was accompanying those songs with a load of songs that Noel Gallagher wrote. So effectively Noel did sell out Knebworth (again) just indirectly

People filled up Knebworth park for 2 knights just to get a snippet from Oasis and Liam was the face of Oasis know the sheer fact that they reunited will fill stadiums with tens of thousands of people and even an opportunity for the biggest Knebworth ever in the future.

Noel already sold “Stand by me” and a couple more songs. Liam sold out the Etihad, tours with John Squire and the DM tour he has six number one albums. There is no Oasis without Liam singing Noel’s songs and a couple of Liams own songs

Record sales and streams don’t agree with your assessment. Liam is undoubtedly significantly more successful as a live artist, where post-Beady Eye he’s essentially kept Oasis going for a new generation (as well as older fans), but High Flying Birds music has been consistently more successful than both Beady Eye and Liam’s solo work.
