The Belfast to Derry line is rubbish it needs doubled desperately. I had to wait near 30 minutes at castlerock to wait for another train to clear the single track.

There are currenly plans to increase the frequency to 2tph by 2027, and a new line from Derry to Letterkenney and Portadown are recommended to be completed before 2040, but yes, the line is in desperate need of dualling, its the busiest single track line in the United Kingdom!

@@irishaviation1052 Anything does the Irish the railways get rubbish funding there should have been a HS from Belfast to Dublin and HS from Portadown to Derry in Europe its a high speed system nearly everywere but we have the chug a bug enterprize 50mph to Dublin yea right good .
