Virgo I think is a sign that is possibly dying of genuine love, but would rather live/die alone, than to have the sanctity and purity of their mind and spirit surrounding that which they exalt (place absolute inviolable meaning to) 'tampered/altered' by some half-hearted or half-hazzard person. Virgo's have an integrated approach to love that combines logic with feeling: They need to know that their potential love interest has a mental capacity for emotional intelligence/reasoning for it to take off in any direction. Virgos are logical and know that in the end, they'd only be kicking themselves for being so careless with their own emotions and thoughts, investing them into someone careless and so they reserve themselves for those they CAN commune/connect with. It's a self-respect thing, not 'get with someone ANYONE because I'm so lonely I can't stand the idea of not having SOMEONE to validate me!' Virgos do not require validation from others most often and this is why they are so independent: they are polite, discreet, well-read, but they often won't show a ruffled feather denoting you crossed them, because if you didn't notice it, than that's just as well: they prefer to keep their passions to themselves until they are in the company of like-minded, and open-minded folks. Provided Virgo knows the rules of engagement and how dating will take place, they can leave their feelings out of it as a means to keep their feelings safe and ready for the deserving. This is in part why the sign has a subtle albeit (seldom-seen by others) strong sense of self, and self-respect: They know their worth: you didn't make them who they are, and how they desire to be, but you CAN share space with them IF you're capable.

It helps having boundaries. Virgos will date self centered people to feel needed then complain they are over giving. Yall need to learn how to answer yourself and say no. I am a Virgo and my best friend of 25 yrs was a Pisces she has now passed but I would say the 2 signs really compliment each other both giving caring really care takers but a Pisces I would say goes through life with rose colored glasses on where Virgo is the logical one. And I feel like im not even meeting my own expectations esp with my health being not so great how can I take care of my bf (like Id like to) when I'm struggling to take care of myself? I also pull back on emotions of love if I think there's even a chance of it not being reciprocated or if I think something is seriously wrong. I go to the point of thinking the worse and preparing myself of shutting down emotionally/having to move on until it can be resolved. As a Virgo this is definitely me. From what I can gather my moon sign is Libra I think so I can be less critical. I am a big ball of anxiety though who has has trouble sleeping, lack of appetite etc. Also I'm not sure if anybody else gets this but when I've been in the company of another person who just shares all their private information, brags about their one night stand or the fact that they don't see themselves marrying the person they are currently in a relationship with, I just feel REALLY uneasy.
